Raider Baseball Team 2009
|
The Raider Baseball program was established in 1989 and competed in the LHSAA as a class C school through the 1999 season. From 2000 through 2009, Runnels competed as a class B school. Beginning in 2010, Runnels will begin competing in class 2A.
The Runnels baseball program played their way to the state finals or semi-finals in Alexandria eight times. Five of those years Runnels played in the state championship game. In 1997 and again in 2008 the Raiders achieved their ultimate goal of winning the state championship.
