94 UNITED at the TOC
First of all, I would thank North Texas Soccer Association for hosting the "Tournament of Champions", Dec. 2 & 3rd 2006. Teams from all over North Texas age groups ranging from Boys and Girls U10-U19. Our Team "94 United" U12 boys were representing The City of Rowlett's Youth Soccer Association for winning first place.
Saturday, December 2, 2006 in Cedar Hill Texas, Valley Ridge Park
Our First Game was at 11:00am against the Terrell Soccer Association "Roadrunners". This was an Incredible Team that we faced, and we knew this going into the game and played a defense lineup. They had at least 20 shots (if not more) on goal and one missed penalty Kick. With 4 minutes left to play we had a free kick outside their penalty Area and took advantage of the opportunity and put the ball in the back of the net on a cross shot. Other than that we only had 3 shots on goal the entire game. The Soccer Gods were on or side for that game and we held them off and won 1-0.
Our second game at 3:30pm was against North Fort Worth Alliance Soccer Association . We continued our momentum with a 4-0 win.
The Third Game was at 8:00pm against Stephenville Soccer Association. We, had another Defense struggle and many missed opportunities from both teams. With as cold as it was and for the boys, they held them off and tied the game 0-0. But, after it was all said and done, our team "94 UNITED" had accumulated 22 points the most points in our bracket and advanced to the Quarter Finals on Sunday.

Our forth game was at 9:45am against Crowley Soccer Association . The major factor in this game was the temperature and the chilly wind, but the team played hard and held off with a 0-0 tie. The game had to be determined by a shoot out (Penalty Kicks). This was an exciting game because our first six and there first six shots were matched miss for miss and goal for goal. Crowley Sent up there Goalie to shoot there penalty shot and our goalie made a dive to Stop the goal. Now it was our goalies turn to make the shot and "HE DID IT"'!!!!!!!! and we won 1-0. This was and emotional rollercoaster was just unbelievable.
Our Fifth game at 1:15p against Mt Pleasant Soccer Association. With the boy's fatigued and the temperature turning colder and the emotional & physical rollercoaster played a role in this game and we took a brutal loss of 8-0.
Our Sixth and final game at 4:30p was against Kilgore Soccer Association. This was much like the same scenario as the Mt. Pleasant game, but was able to make at least 1 score, but lost 4-1.
Out of 32 teams from all over Texas the "94 UNITED" of Rowlett U12 Boys finished in 4th place overall in our Division, this is a great achievement and I am very proud of "ALL" of my players for the hard work and effort they put into this weekend. The was our "1st" Tournament Experience together as a Team, and I look forward to continue to Coach these boys and to increase their Soccer skills and their love for the Game.
Sincerely,
Richard Aguirre
Coach of the 94 UNITED
