Buffalo Chips Running Club

I want to thank all of the coaches of the Roseville Express for providing exceptional coaching and support to Buffalo Chip Youth runners this spring while I support and provide assistance to my wife in her battle with cancer. It is extremely gratifying to know that such an outstanding program exists to further track and field in the Sacramento area.

Hi Maura and Rosevelt,

After a very rough start to track season (Devin has been sick and also
dealing with low back pain), Devin had her first official meet tonight.
Since she was under the weather with little training, the coach just had her
run the 200. I am proud to tell you that she came in first on varsity.
The school record is 26 and Devins time was 28. I think she starting to get
back into it.

I think of you guys often. I feel it is because of RE TC training that has
brought Devin so far. She talks about returning in the summer and I hope
she does. The coach told her she has perfect form. Remember when she first
started on the team. She has come so far. You guys have really been a
blessing in our lives. Thank you! Well, just needed to brag. I will keep
you up dated. Amber

To Coach Maura,

Coming from two coaches, we tend to dissect a lot of techniques, drills, workouts and pretty much all instructions given to our kids by another/fellow coach. It was terrific to constantly be "on the same page" with philosopy an beliefs that always places the child/athlete first!
We enjoyed the cross country season with Roseville Express soooo much this year, we can't wait to do some more of it. Our only regret was that the season ended to soon. Shayna and Neilson had a terrific time and here is what they have to say:

"I would recommend coach Maura for anyone who wants to run because I like the way that she coaches. She is a really good coach that wants us to do our very best." says Shayna Powless (age 11)

"I liked cross country because I got to go to a new state (Rhode Island) and actually race there. I liked going on the team because it was the first time Roseville Express has competed (in cross country) and I got to be in it. I liked Maura as a coach because she was really nice and I liked the workouts that she gave us," says Neilson Powless (age 9)
We look forward to track & field and will recommend many more kids to join us for some great fun in the coming seasons.
Thank you for your generous time and wonderful commitment to these kids and this wonderful sport. Keep up the great work!
Very appreciative, Jack and Jeanette Powless

Coach Maura,

Our family can't thank you enough for the wonderful experience we had this fall with Roseville Express Cross Country. Avery and Wyatt enjoyed the training and LOVED the XC events! They both stated to us many times that they were so glad that we joined XC and hoped that we could not only return to XC next fall but also join track & field! But, more importantly...the kids felt that you were truly there for them, coaching them, supporting them, and cheering them on in every practice and every event. Coach Maura you are really making XC and Track & Field exciting, challenging and rewarding for our kids. It is no surprise that after only two track & field practices our kids are hooked
:-) The kids love being part of this team...and so do we! So a BIG THANK YOU for all that you do!

Kris & Patrick Morin
