2009

Jordan Getchell was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI in Central Arkansas' 18-10 win at SUI-Edwardsville on May 23. Getchell finshed his freshman season with a .333 batting average, .458 slugging pct, and .467 on base percentage. He was inserted as the Bears' leadoff hitter late in the season, and in just 17 starts finished with 22 runs scored, 14 RBI, 16 walks, and tied for the team lead with 6 stolen bases.

Jordan Getchell tripled and scored the tying run in the 8th inning, but Central Arkansas lost in the bottom of the 9th 7-6 at SIU-Edwardsville 7-6 on May 22.

Matt Chwalinski was 3 for 5 with a home run and 3 RBI as NorthArk was eliminated from the District C tournament in a 15-10 loss to Eastfield College on May 9 in McKinney, Texas. 

Jordan Getchell hit his first collegiate home run in Central Arkansas' 8-2 victory over Sam Houston State on May 9. 

Joseph Kaminski was named First Team All-Gulf South Conference West for 2009. The junior first baseman batted .394 with 10 home runs, 39 RBI, 41 runs scored, and 16 doubles. Kaminski also led the Bucs with a .706 slugging percentage and a .456 on base percentage.

Nathan Hill was 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI as Hendrix won the SCAC championship with an 11-1 win over Trinity University on April 26 in Jackson, Mississippi. It was the first SCAC men's championship won by Hendrix in any sport. 

Jordan Getchell had 4 hits, 3 runs scored, 2 RBI and a stolen base in UCA's 21-6 win at Texas A&M Corpus Christi on April 26.

Mark Thompson allowed just 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 6 over 5.1 innings in Allen County's 7-1 win over Kansas City Kansas on April 25.

Nathan Hill had 2 hits and an RBI as Hendrix advanced to the SCAC semifinals with a 9-8 win over nationally ranked #2 Millsaps College on April 24. 

Nathan Hill was 2 for 4 with an RBI double as Hendrix defeated DePauw University 10-7 in the first round of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament on April 23. This was the first SCAC tournament win by Hendrix since 1999. 

Jordan Getchell was 1 for 3 with an RBI and stolen base in the University of Central Arkansas' 5-2 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on April 22.

Joseph Kaminski had 4 hits in Christian Brothers' 15-11 loss at Henderson State on April 19.

Joseph Kaminski blasted his 7th home run and 16th double of the season in Christian Brothers' 7-5 loss at Henderson State on April 18.

Patrick Strack had 2 RBI in #20 Delta State's 12-10 win over Arkansas-Monticello on April 10.

Patrick Strack hit a two-run home run in the first inning, his 6th of the season, to lead #24 Delta State over #27 Henderson State 16-7 on April 5. Strack is second on the team with a .373 batting average and leads the team with a .515 on base percentage and a .745 slugging percentage.

Mark Thompson allowed 1 run over 4 2/3 innings and picked up his 3rd win in Allen County's 8-1 victory at Fort Scott on April 4. 

Chris Driedric was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored in University of the Ozarks' 9-8 win in 10 innings over Louisiana College. Trailing 8-7 in the bottom of the 10th, Driedric worked a leadoff walk and came around to score the tying run.

Joseph Kaminski went 3 for 6 with a home run in a doubleheader against Union University on April 4. 

Patrick Strack hit a two-run home run in #24 Delta State's 16-6 win over William Carey on April 1. 

Nathan Hill had 2 hits and 2 RBI to lead Hendrix past Trinity University 9-7 on March 29.

Patrick Strack was 2 for 3 with an RBI and run scored in #27 Delta State's 17-0 win over Harding on March 28.

Joseph Kaminski leads Christian Brothers in batting average (.415), runs (26), hits (34), doubles (13), RBI (22), and slugging percentage (.707) through March 22. He is also tied for the team lead in home runs (3) and is second in on-base percentage (.473). 

Patrick Strack had a single and 2 RBI as Delta State defeated Christian Brothers 18-4 on March 22. Strack is now hitting .333 with a .489 on base percentage and .694 slugging percentage on the season. He has 4 home runs and 14 RBI in 13 starts. The Statesmen are 13-1 since he was inserted into the starting lineup.

Nathan Hill doubled in a run and scored twice as Hendrix defeated #6 Millsaps 13-12 on March 22.

Mark Thompson allowed just 3 hits and 1 earned run over 7 innings as Allen County defeated #9 Johnson County 10-6 on March 21.

Patrick Strack had a single, RBI, run scored, and reached base 3 times as Delta State defeated Christian Brothers 12-2 on March 21. Joseph Kaminski's two-run home run accounted for Christian Brothers' runs.

Jordan Getchell was 1 for 3 with 2 runs, an RBI and 2 walks in Central Arkansas' 13-11 loss to Murray State on March 18.

Joseph Kaminski was 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored and an RBI as Christian Brothers routed LeMoyne-Owen 17-2 on March 18.

Matt Chwalinski hit a game-winning three-run home run in the 7th inning as NorthArk defeated Spoon River College 7-4 on March 14.

Patrick Strack was 2 for 5 with a home run, 3 RBI and also scored a run to help Delta State past Ouachita Baptist 16-10 on  March 14.

Chris Driedric had a two-run single to help lead University of the Ozarks past UT-Dallas 6-4 on March 14.

Nathan Hill had 3 hits in his first start back from a preseason injury as Hendrix defeated Claremont-Mudd-Scripps University 10-9 on March 10 in Claremont, California.

Patrick Strack had two home runs, a double, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs as Delta State pasted Pace University 29-5 on March 7.

Joseph Kaminski singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 9th as Christian Brothers defeated Urbana 14-13 on March 7.

Chris Driedric was 2 for 5 with a run scored, RBI, and stolen base as the University of the Ozarks defeated East Texas Baptist 12-6 on March 7.

Joseph Kaminski was 3 for 4 with a double, home run, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored to help Christian Brothers past Urbana 12-4 on March 6.

Mark Thompson picked up the win in his collegiate debut, tossing 5 innings while allowing 2 runs and striking out 6 as Allen County (Kan.) defeated Murray State (Okla) 12-2 on February 21.

Chris Driedric singled to lead off the bottom of the 9th and then came around the score the winning run as the University of the Ozarks defeated Hendrix 12-10 on February 17.

Joseph Kaminski was 2 for 4 with a double and 4 runs scored in Christian Brothers' 20-5 win over LeMoyne-Owen on February 18.

Matt Chwalinski was selected as preseason Junior College Division 3 All-American 2nd Team for the 2009 season. As a freshman, Chwalinski hit .497 with 11 HR and 74 RBI for North Arkansas College.

Chris Driedric had an RBI and a run scored in his collegiate debut as University of the Ozarks defeated Hendrix College 12-4 on February 3.

Michael Alonso made his collegiate debut for Arkansas Tech, tossing a scoreless inning of relief in game two of a doubleheader against Augustana on February 1.

Joseph Kaminski was picked to the 2009 Preseason All-Gulf South Conference Team after leading CBU in most offensive categories in 2008 with a .385 batting average, 13 doubles, six homers, and 40 RBI.  The junior first baseman also scored 25 runs on his way to being named Second-Team All-GSC West.

2008

Joeseph Kaminski of Christian Brothers was voted Second Team All-Gulf South Conference for 2008. The sophomore first baseman led the Bucs with a .385 average, 6 home runs and 40 RBI.

North Arkansas College is ranked #1 in the final NJCAA Division III poll released April 30. The Pioneers swept Crowley's Ridge last weekend to clinch the Region 2 Championship. North Ark (38-11-1)  now advances to the District C Tournament May 9-11.  Former Rocket Matt Chwalinski is 3rd in the nation in RBI's (72), 9th in the nation in batting average (.480), and 11th in the nation in home runs (11)

Anthony Aruffo finished his sophomore season with a team-best 1.88 ERA, while opponents batted just .204 against him. 

Joseph Kaminski was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored in Christian Brothers' 8-4 loss to #25 Ouachita Baptist on April 26. Kaminski finished his sophomore season with a .385 batting average to lead the team. He also led the Bucs in hits (60), RBI (40), slugging pct. (583), and total bases (91) and was tied for the team lead in home runs (6) and doubles (13).

Anthony Aruffo pitched 3 scoreless innings while appearing in both games of Penn's doubleheader split with Lehigh on April 23. Aruffo's ERA dropped to 2.03, second lowest on the Quaker pitching staff.

As of April 19, Joseph Kaminski leads Christians Brothers in batting average (.380), hits (56), home runs (6), and RBI (40).

Matt Rugger was 3-6 in #2 NorthArk's doubleheader split at Lyon College on April 14.

Anthony Aruffo pitched 5.1 innings of relief, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 5 in Penn's 16-5 loss to Cornell on April 13. The sophomore side-armer has a 2.61 ERA in 5 appearances for the Quakers this season.

North Arkansas College is ranked #2 in the April 9th RINGOR NJCAA Division III poll with a 31-8 record. The .429 team batting average tops all NJCAA D3 schools. NJCAA Div III Top 25 players includes Matt Chwalinski who is ranked 4th in RBI's (54), 5th in Home Runs (9), and 6th in Battting Avg (.493). Also listed in the top 25, Matt Rugger is ranked 18th in Batting Avg (.420).

Joseph Kaminski went 4 for 5 with a home run, double and 2 RBI for Christian Brothers in the Bucs' 9-8 win at Arkansas Tech on March 29.

Nathan Hill had 3 hits, including a double and 2 runs scored as Hendrix defeated #19 (Div III) College of the Ozarks 17-10 on March 25.

Matt Chwalinski went 4-6 with a double as NorthArk won two games on March 16, defeating Highland Community College 11-7 and Minnesota West 10-0.

Joseph Kaminski slugged his 4th and 5th home run of the season as Christian Brothers swept a doubleheader from Arkansas-Monticello on March 16. Kaminski had 6 hits and 9 RBI in the three-game weekend series.

Matt Rugger went 2-3 with 2 RBIs in NorthArk's 12-2 win over Mesabi Range CC (MN) on March 13. The win brings NAC's record to 20-6. Rugger is batting .417 for the season.

Matt Chwalinski continues to swing a hot bat for NorthArk. Chwalinski racked up 4 hits in a doubleheader March 10, including a home run in a 15-5 Pioneer win over Spoon River JC.

As Christian Brothers (8-8) opens up Gulf South play this weekend, former Rocket Joseph Kaminski is batting .333, leads the Bucs with 3 home runs and a .604 slugging percentage, and is second on the team with 17 RBI.

Nathan Hill went 3-5 with a double, RBI and 2 runs scored in a 12-4 win by Hendrix over Central Baptist College on March 10.

Matt Chwalinski was 4-5 with 4 RBI as NorthArk (14-5) defeated Hibbing CC 14-7 on March 9.

Anthony Aruffo tossed a perfect inning and struck out 2 in Penn's 9-8 loss to Air Force in Boca Raton on March 9.

Matt Chwalinski was 2-4 with 2 RBI for NorthArk in the Pioneers' 9-5 win over Bacone College on March 2. For the season, Chwalinski has a .589 batting average with 30 runs scored and is tied for the team lead for 5 home runs and 27 RBI.

Joseph Kaminski went 3-4 with 4 RBI, 3 runs scored, and belted his 3rd home run of the season as Christian Brothers defeated Brescia (Ky) 10-0 on March 2.

Nathan Hill had 2 hits and scored 2 runs as Hendrix defeated Principia College 15-5 on February 24, running the Warriors' win streak to 5 games.

Joseph Kaminski homered and drive in 3 runs to help Christian Brothers defeat Robert Morris 9-0 on February 24, the Bucs 6th straight win.

Nathan Hill went 3-4 with a home run, triple, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored in Hendrix' 6-5 win over Blackburn College on February 23.

Matt Chwalinski went 3-4 in NorthArk's 12-6 win over Lyon College JV on February 19.

Joseph Kaminski had 2 hits including a home run in Christian Brothers' 10-9 win over William Woods on February 17.

Nathan Hill (CHS '06) has been named co-captain for the 2008 Hendrix College baseball team.

2007

Brandon White was named to the Valley League Baseball All-Star Game July 8. White, a freshman for the Arkansas Razorbacks, is pitching for the Covington Lumberjacks in the summer college baseball league in Virginia.

Former Rocket Richard O'Brien was named to the All-Tournament Team for his performance in the NCAA Missouri Regional. The Miami catcher was 6 for 11 with 2 HR, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored for the tournament.

Richard O'Brien's college career ended with a bang as he was 3-4 with 2 runs and an RBI, but Miami was eliminated 8-7 by Louisville on June 3.

Richard O'Brien was 2-4 with a double to 2 RBI as Miami held on to eliminate Kent State 8-7 in the NCAA Regional in Columbia, Missouri on June 2.

Richard O'Brien's home run started a 6-run outburst in the 2nd inning to give Miami a 7-3 lead over Louisville in the opening round of the NCAA Missouri regional on June 1. However, the Cardinals scored 10 unanswered runs to defeat the Hurricanes 13-7.

Richard O'Brien was a unanimous selection to the all-tournament team for the 2007 ACC Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. O'Brien homered twice and had 5 RBI for the tournament, including a three-run homer in Miami's upset of top seed Florida State. The former Rocket was the only player from Miami selected and one of only 3 unanimous picks overall for the all-tournament team. O'Brien will open NCAA play against Louisville Friday in the Missouri Regional as the Hurricanes begin their quest for consecutive College World Series trips.

Richard O'Brien belted a three run homer to give Miami the lead for good in a 9-3 over top-seed Florida State ACC Tournament play on May 25.

Richard O'Brien had a grand slam in Miami's 9-8 win in 14 innings over Wake Forest on May 11.

Joseph Kaminski finished his freshman season at Christian Brothers with a .304 batting average with 3 HR, 29 RBI, 11 doubles and 15 runs scored. He was 5th on the team in hitting, tied for first in home runs, and third in RBI.

Richard O'Brien homered for the second consecutive game in Miami's 13-8 loss to #1 Florida State on April 28.

Joseph Kaminski was 3-5 in Christian Brother's 5-4 loss to #5 (Div II) Ouachita Baptist in 12 innings on April 28.

Richard O'Brien hit a solo home run in Miami's 7-6 loss to #1 Florida State on April 27.

Nathan Hill finished his freshman season at Hendrix College with a .333 batting average with 19 runs scored and 15 RBI.

Richard O'Brien had 3 RBI including a two-run single to help fuel Miami's 9-5 comeback win at Virginia Tech on April 22. O'Brien finished the series 5-11 with 5 RBI as the Hurricane's swept the Hokies in Blacksburg.

Richard O'Brien was 2-3 with an RBI and also turned in a stellar defensive performance in Miami's 4-3 win at Virginia Tech on April 21. O'Brien picked two runners off of first base, threw out two runners attempting to steal, and made a diving catch of a 9th inning sacrifice bunt attempt to help preserve the Miami win.

Richard O'Brien was 2-4 with a double, run scored, and RBI in Miami's 11-9 win at Virginia Tech on April 20. It was the first game played at Virginia Tech following the April 16 campus shootings.

Nathan Hill was 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI in Hendrix' 10-4 loss to #22 (Div III) Millsaps College on April 15.

Joseph Kaminski was 2-3 with a home run and 2 RBI in Christian Brother's 15-4 loss to #19 (Div II) Southern Arkansas on April 14.

Richard O'Brien was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI in Miami's 11-7 win over Florida International on April 11.

Joseph Kaminski was 2-3 with a home run and 4 RBI as Christian Brothers defeated Harding 7-3 on April 6. Kaminski is batting .313 with 10 doubles, 2 home runs, and 23 RBI for the Bucs on the season. His average is 4th highest on team among players with more than 50 at bats.

Nathan Hill was 3-4 with 3 RBI in Hendrix's 8-7 win over Blackburn College on February 25.

Richard O'Brien was 1-3 with a run scored and an RBI in the University of Miami's 12-7 loss to the Florida Marlins February 27 in a spring training exhibition matchup.

Joseph Kaminski was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI as Christian Brothers (4-1) upset 8th-ranked Central Missouri 10-6 on February 17. Kaminski is batting .667 (8 for 12) through the first five games and currently leads the team in virtually every offensive category.

Nathan Hill had 3 hits in Hendrix' 9-6 win at Louisiana College on February 11. Hill has hit safely in 6 of team's 7 games, including 3 multi-hit games.
