Rockbusters
Calling out to all Rockbuster parents and coaches to send me your updates, articles and pictrues. We'd like to have as much coverage as possible of this fantastic program. Tough Guy Tournament Fifth Place: Alex Sohl (120 lb.) Participated: Madeleine Wolczko (73 lb.); Tyler Stoffer (86 lb.); Eugene Pegues (73 lb.); Evan Hills (145 lb.) Raffle going on now Vashon High School is renowned for its state wrestling champions. Many of these wrestling legends got their start in the Rockbuster Junior Wrestling program when they were 5 to 12 years old. Rockbusters is the feeder organization to groom a grass roots supply of Island wrestling talent. The goals of Rockbusters are first to promote sportsmanship, second to have fun and third to learn how to wrestle. Rockbusters supplies each of its athletes with a uniform, protective headgear and wrestling shoes, and pays match and tournament fees for all of its wrestlers. Registration fees pay only a portion of these expenses, the balance being made up by fundraising. Rockbusters is holding a raffle with great prizes to raise money for its program. Help us support these young wrestlers by buying raffle tickets. If you do not know a wrestler from whom to buy tickets, call Sherrie Dierks at 567- 5366. Dont delay the drawing will be held shortly after the New Year. |
