Welcome to the 2011 Football Season for Rochester Youth Football League.
Where the kids come first, the sport comes second and winning is the added benefit.
          We are a well established organization with over 40 years of history supporting the youth of the Rochester area. We are the feeder program for the Little Red Raider Football and Cheering organization.
          We take great pride in our program and it's facilities. Take a look around the website. I hope that you will find it helpful. I am looking forward to the upcoming season as your RYFL Commissioner. I have had some great experience as coach of the Green - Fighting Irish Team for 15 years. I have been a member of the RYFL Board as well. I take great pride in the program.

What's new in 2011: We are very pleased to welcome a new Farmington team to our league. They will operate in a similar way to the Wakefield team.

Draft: New Players who sign up by August 9 but do not yet belong to a team will participate in a league draft or tryout.  This will take place on Saturday August 13 beginning at 8:30AM.  New players will be chosen for a team.  For the two weeks following the draft there will be a two week football camp.  Each evening the teams will begin practicing fundamentals, learning the game and finding out what it is to become part of a football team. 


Eligibility Football Players can be male or female age 8 - 12 year old and must meet the weight requirements set by the league. Cheerleaders can also be male or female age 5 -12 years old.

Participants who are 12 years and older can tryout for the Little Red Raider Football and Cheerleading Program which is a feeder program of the Rochester Youth Footbal League. Contact us for more information or visit their website. The link is on this website for easy access.

Cheering  participants are eligible between ages 5 and 12.  We are pleased to have as our Cheering Advisor Jennifer Roberge.  She can be reached at 509-3353.

Flag Football signups will be weeknights beginning August 16 to August 27 from 5:30 to 6:30 at Roger Allen Park. Players who are ages 6 and 7 are eligible.  The cost is $55.00.  The season will begin on August 31.

Registration Fee for both football players and cheerleaders the season fee is $90.00. Any additional participants (who are siblings) will be $80.00 each.
$30.00 of the registration fee is refundable to you upon completion of your calendar sales. See Fundraising section below for details.

Volunteers:
All of our coaches are volunteers. All of our concession workers are volunteers. Your league commissioner, and its board members are all volunteers. Your clean well kept football park is all done strictly by volunteers. Please be respectful of the hard work that is done for the sake of our children who participate here. Take pride in everything you say and do here. Let us all enjoy a great football season full of fun, laughter, fairness, respect. Many thanks to every single one of you who make uour league the best of it's kind.

Special Notes:

Roger Allen Park is a non-smoking facility. This means on all of our grounds ...including the parking lot. Keep cigarette butts off of our parking lot! Anyone found smoking will be asked to distinguish them. More than one offense...you will be escorted off the grounds.

Roger Allen Park is also a non alcohol facility. Anyone found drinking or under the infleuence will be escorted off the grounds.

Parking: Handicap parking is along the goal post side of the parking lot. There is a small entrance gate there. Please pay attention to the no parking signs. These spots are reserved for commissioner and concession manager who often come with lots of things in their arms!
