RHLL: General Info
Starting with T-Ball for five and six year olds, and then Rookies for 7 & 8 year olds, the emphasis is on instruction and teaching kids how to play the great game.
Baseball then moves on to AA for 9 - 10 year olds, and AAA for 10 - 11 year olds where the emphasis is still on learning and improving fundamentals. Players are guaranteed minimum playing time and managers are encouraged to allow players to get experience at several positions.
Major baseball provides a very competitive atmosphere for those 10 -11 -12 year olds who are ready to fine-tune their skills. Normal "substitution" rules apply with minimums of two defensive innings of play and one time at bat.
Junior baseball serves our 13 - 14 year olds with competitive play, and the Senior division is highly competitive for 14 - 15 - 16 year old players. We have a very strong Junior and Senior program.
For softball, Rookies are 7 - 8 year olds, with our Minor division consisting of 9 - 10 year olds and the Major division consists of 11 - 12 year olds. The emphasis is on fun and learning. Senior Softball is the most competitive. Ages for senior softball are 13 - 14 - 15 - 16.
