Robinwood Little League provides the opportunity for participation in Little League Sanctioned All Star Tournaments following the end of the RWLL regular season. These tournaments are comprised of All Star Teams from individual leagues throughout District 62. This is a highly competitive tournament and very intense competition that provides extraordinary learning experience for each of its participants. It is considered a honor to represent Robinwood Little League as a All-Star. WINTERBALL REGISTRATION

Wednesday July 22, 2009  5pm - 8pm  Saturday August 1, 2009  9am - 1 pm

Sign ups are at the Robinwood Fields, Marina Park (NE corner of Edinger / Graham)

Fee: $60 includes a cap, tee-shirt and lots of fun

Practices will start mid-August 2009 - Games start September 13, 2009 and end November 22, 2009

2009 Robinwood Little League Standing Rules 

The objective of the Standing Rules of the Robinwood Little League is to provide supplementary rules and additional guidelines, where required, to augment the rules and regulations published by Little League Baseball, Incorporated.  In addition, the Standing Rules will cover the Robinwood Little League procedures for areas not covered in the Little League Baseball Regulations.

Official Managers and Coaches Education Program

Little League is committed to helping managers and coaches be their best. While part of this program is targeted at making managers and coaches better at teaching skills, planning active and fun practices and showing coaches how to include all players on game day it is also aimed at making them better teachers and role models.

Recognizing that manager and coach are the most vital link in making a youngster’s experience in Little League a success, Little League has teamed up with world-renowned instructors and authors Al Herback and Al Price (Little al & BIG AL) to bring you the Little League Official Little League Manager/Coach Educational Program. You can participate in a live training clinic with al and AL each year at one of Little League’s Regional Centers.

It has been brought to the attention of Little League officials that there are a few bats for sale in stores or that may have already been purchased that carry the Little League approval, but do not have the required bat performance standard markings.  The Little League Rulebook states that beginning January 1, 2009, all non-wood bats used for play in Little League Baseball (majors and below) shall be printed with a bat performance factor (BPF) of 1.15 or less.  While the bats we have identified pass the BPF standard and other standards of proportion and measurement, they do not have the proper label.  These bats are in the marketplace for a variety of circumstances.  After review by Little League officials, it has been determined that these bats may remain in the marketplace and shall be allowed for play during the 2009 season only, with the understanding that these bats shall not be allowed for play after December 31, 2009, even though some improperly labeled bats may still remain in the marketplace, or retained by leagues and players after the 2010 deadline.  Also, check the model you are purchasing.  If these bats, like the Vanquish, are replaced with corrected labeling, and have the BPF 1.15 label, they will be allowed after 2009.   Specifically, the bats in question are as follow:

Your Role as a Little League Parent

Local Little Leagues are entirely volunteer organizations. Each league depends on adults like you to organize and conduct every aspect. Not only do adults serve as administrators, volunteer coaches, and umpires they also help with field maintenance, fund-raising, concessions, and numerous other special projects.

Your willingness to exchange time and effort for your child's benefit and enjoyment is very important to the functioning of your local Little League. Cheering your daughter or son on from the stands is one important way to be involved, but we invite you to do even more by volunteering to help run your local Little League program.
