STARS keep moving on
Thursday night AHA lost a close game to Minnetonka, 3 - 2. AHA came out and got the first goal, then Tonka tied it up on the next power play. In the second period AHA took the lead again, but Tonka came right back. Later in the second period, a tennis ball goes out on the ice. All 10 skaters went over the ball and two of the refs, but play continued. AHA took a penalty about 10 seconds later, the ball was picked up and Tonka scored the game winner on the power-play. Sucks.
Friday night AHA hosted Mt. St. Charles from Rhode Island. Nice game back and forth. AHA got on the board first, but then took a penalty and MSC scored on that power-play. In the second AHA scored again and one more time took a penalty. MSC capitalized on that mistake and tied it up. AHA finally took the lead on a fantastic shot by Danny Mattson and he scored the empty-netter late in the third for a 4 - 2 STARS win.
Next week I will not be around, I am accompanying the Richfield sixth grade class on their Environmental Learning trip. I will miss the game on Tuesday, but will be back next Friday for that team from Farmington.

I am trying to catch up
I am real bad lately at keeoing up on the notes about the games. AHA finished second in the Schwan's Gold cup losing to Edina. AHA will be ready for them come sections, but I think jefferson may be a little better than Edina.
AHA beat Hutch on Saturday Jan 10th easily by a score of 8 - 1.
Tuesday AHA beat Hill Murray in a great game by Danny "Mr. Hockey" Mattson. he had 2 goals and 3 assists in his effort. Tommy Burke has been playing great. Against HM he stopped 31 of 34 shots, but one goal was batted in and the other was poked in late. Anyway they are starting to look real good and will be tough to beat.
Tonight AHA takes on Minnetonka and I was lucky to get out of working, so I can go. This game was rescheduled because of double booking by Minnetonka and will be a great game. leaving now.....See you
