RHINOS American Football: Club Info
The Rhinos American Football Club is based at Shaw Sportz, Shaw Rd, Wooloowin. We are in our 10th year now and the only team on the north side with teams spread throughout the southeast corner of Queensland.
American Football or gridiron, has been played in Brisbane since 1985 and has enjoyed great success locally, interstate and internationally. Our season runs from late August to the finals in early December with representative games scheduled before and after the regular season.
The Rhinos are a combination of very experienced players and newcomers who were intrigued by the sport. The game offers various body shapes and sizes the opportunity to play a sport that requires a very team oriented outlook.
Our demographic is very wide and we attract players from 14 to 45 years of age with many varied careers.
Our junior team is in it's 8th season. In the Gridiron Queensland League there are 9 junior teams at present with more every year.
