Strikers Break Winter Freeze
FreestateTeam
The Reston Strikers end the winter season by taking first and second place in two seperate divisions of the Bowie, MD Freestate Spring Breakout.  It was a typical spring weekend, warm one minute and cold the next, but that did not bother our Strikers.  Over a two day period two squads of Reston Strikers played a total of eight games.  Both squads of Strikers played with the intensity and spirit that we have come to expect and admire.  No matter if it was cold and windy or sunny and warm, the girls played with heart and team work.  The quality of training and leadership from Coach Apostolos Georgiou not only carried the team through the cold winter season, but brought the girls to the tournament as a finely honed unit of capable soccer players.  Look out world, the Strikers are here and they are ready to play!
