FPYC Patriot Cup Champions
The Reston Strikers begin the 2004 fall season picking up right where they left off last spring. The Strikers have added several new players to the team this year and fielded two squads for the tournament. Although there are several new faces on field, the team played is if they had been together for years. The squad that won the tournament did so in a fashion reminiscent of the Virginia Tournament. At the end of regular play, the game was tied 1-1. After two over time periods, the score was still tied. The resulting shoot out went down to the wire with the Strikers besting their tough opponents 1-0. As with previous tournaments, the Championship squad were . It was a very exiting tournament for all and what we all expect will is a pre-curser of things to come. A special congratulations goes out to the squad that successfully brought home the gold for the team. Congratulations Strikers!!
