RUNSTRONG4LIVESTRONG is an event created by Brooke Koenig, 8th grade student at A.I. Root Middle School in Medina, Ohio. Brooke started the event to help the Lance Armstrong Foundation(LAF) by reaching a donation goal of $10,000.00. The event has been dedicated to cancer SURVIVOR, Corey McDevitt. Corey showed that perseverance and positive attitude helped him with his battle.

This event is also dedicated to Emily Konopinski, an 8th grade student from A.I. Root. Emily suffers from Ewing's Sarcoma, a cancer based in the bone found in children and young adults. Brooke hopes that Emily's fight against the disease is rallied by RUNSTRONG4LIVESTRONG.

Brooke would also like to extend the dedication to her late grandfather, Christian Koenig and neighbor, Dennis Robinson. Both had lost their long battles with the disease.
