RSL Hall of Fame Administration
Recognition - Persons elected to the Hall of Fame will receive a plaque to recognize their accomplishments. Their name will be entered on the club Hall of Fame master plaque. The club secretary shall maintain the master plaque and shall issue an appropriate press release.

Nomination and Selection Process - anyone may nominate anyone for the recognition at any time during the year. A person may be nominated for more than one category. However, each nomination must be submitted separately and is to be considered separately. The written nomination is to be submitted to the club president who will assign it to the Hall of Fame committee for evaluation and recommendations. The committee is to consider only those nominations that clearly demonstrate exceptional contributions and exemplified principles of the club. The committee may seek additional supporting information and may validate any information that is provided. The committee is to present their recommendations to the club board of directors prior to the annual meeting in June. The board will vote upon the recommended nominations at the annual meeting. Inductees, if any, will be announced by the end of September. Presentation shall place at the November/December board of directors meeting. Considered nominations that are not selected in the current year are kept on file for future consideration.

Number of Inductees Per Year - In 2006, up to 5 nominees per category may be inducted into the Rhinebeck Soccer League Hall of Fame. Thereafter, only 1 nominee per category may be inducted. However, if the committee feels that more than 1 nominee per category are deserving of the honor in any year, they may recommend that multiple nominations be voted on by the board of directors.

Additional Recognitions - Annually, the board of directors shall review inductees and consider nominating them for recognition such those maintained by the East Husdon Soccer League, Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, United States Youth Soccer Association, and United States Soccer Federation. If the board concludes that one or more inductees are eligible for and deserving of recognition by the greater soccer community, then the club secretary shall prepare and submit the appropriate nomination package(s) with approval of the club president.

Changes of Criteria and Additional Categories - The Hall of Fame committee may recommend to the board of directors that additional categories be added. For instance, the committee may feel that a category is needed for sponsors and supporters. In this case, the administrator category would first be examined to see if it could accommodate recognition for sponsors and supporters. To do so, criteria may need to be amended by the board of directors based on the recommendations of the committee. When criteria cannot be modified, then an additional category may be voted on by board of directors.

Expenses - The club shall bear all expenses associated with the Hall of Fame from the time that the nomination is accepted for consideration. These expenses shall be factored into the annual budget of the club.

Hall of Fame Committee - The committee chair is appointed annually by the president. The chair recruits committee members as needed in compliance with the by-laws of the club.

Dissolution of the Hall of Fame - The club may dissolve the Hall of Fame at any time and for any reason upon approval of the board of directors.
