Game Summaries for the Fall 2008 Season

11/9/2008 - Carmel 4, Rhinebeck Revolution 1

The Girls U9 Revolution played a tough Carmel team on 11/9, losing 4-1 to the visitors.  Brooke Platt, Anna Booz and Reagen Schweppe had shots on goal, but only  Stephanie Cassens continued her scoring streak for the Revolution, netting the lone goal for the home team.  The girls got solid defensive play from Samantha McClenahan, Elizabeth Rosenzweig, and Elle Ping. 

10/26/2008 - Rhinebeck Revolution 2, Carmel 2

The Girls U9 Revolution played their best game yet this season against Carmel.  The score ended up knotted 2-2, with strong goalie play from Samantha McClenahan and Elle Ping, as well as strong defense from Elizabeth Rosenzweig, Olivia Lortie and Erin Behrens.  Stephanie Cassens continued to be an offensive force, netting both Revolution goals. Anna Booz had an assist.  Brooke Platt, Danielle Amidon, Chloe Breen and Reagan Schweppe also took shots for the visiting Revolution.

10/5/2008 -  Wappingers 5, Rhinebeck Revolution 3

The Girls U9 Revolution took on a strong Wappingers team, with Wappingers winning 5-3.  Stephanie Cassens got a hat trick with  Anna Booz, Erin Behrens, Danielle Amador, Olivia Lortie, Brook Platte and Chloe Breen all having multiple shots on goal.  Elizabeth Rosenzweig played solid defense for the Revolution. 

9/21/2008 - Mahopac 4, Rhinebeck Revolution 0

The GU9 Revolution continue to improve in their first season as a team, but lost 4-0 to the visiting Mahopac team. Anna Booz, Brook Platte, Chloe Breen, Reagan Schweppe and Danielle Amidor provided some offensive spark for the Revolution, with Stephanie Cassens providing some great centering passes.  Elizabeth Rosenzweig and Talia Goldman helped to shut down the visitors in the second half with their stellar defensive play.  

9/14/2008 - Carmel 5, Rhinebeck Revolution 0

The GU9 Rhinebeck Revolution showed improved teamwork, passing and defense in a well played game Sunday against Carmel United.  While The Revolution came up short, they got stellar defensive play from Elizabeth Rosenzweig, Danielle Amidon and newcomer Talia Goldman. Samantha McClenahan and Elle Ping split goalie duties, blocking an additional 18 shots on goal from the powerful Carmel team. Chloe Breen, Brooke Platt and Stephanie Cassens all had shots on goal for the Revolution. 

9/7/2008 - Highland 7, Rhinebeck Revolution 1

The Rhinebeck Revolution, the new girls U9 soccer team, lost their opening game 7-1 to the visiting Highland Spice.  The Revolution played well, but could not overcome the more experienced visitors.  Danielle Amidon scored the only goal for the Revolution. The team had several scoring opportunities, with Stephanie Cassens, Chloe Breen, Anna Booz and Brook Platt all having shots on goal.
