9/28/2008 - Rhinebeck Rowdies 1, South Ulster 1
The U10 Rowdies battled to a 1-1 tie against a tough and talented South Ulster team. Usually a solid defenseman, Alec Gautier made his debut at mid in the second half and earned his first assist with a fine cross to a waiting Zach Matthews. Jackson Blomgren and Elias Econopouly shared duties tending goal, and both of them kept the Rowdies in the game with some great saves.
9/21/2008 - Poughkeepsie 8, Rhinebeck Rowdies 2
The U10 Rowdies lost their first game, getting dropped by Poughkeepsie 8-2. . Tyler Morgan made his debut with some nice passes, Jackson Blomgren added to his goal total, and Emily Entner scored her first goal of the season.
9/14/2008 - Rhinebeck Rowdies 7, Pine Bush 0
The U10 Rowdies notched their second win of the new season, overmatching Pine Bush 7-0. The Rowdies were led by Ben Shaw, with three goals, and Elias Econopouly, who had two. Marc Jussi (1 goal) and Jackson Blomgren also turned in strong offense. The forwards were supported by a stingy defense that just stopped Pine Bush cold, limiting them to 4 shots on goal. Alec Gautier's defense merits note, as he also found opportunities to counterattack and set up his teammates on offense.
9/7/2008 - Rhinebeck Rowdies 5, Wallkill 1
The Rhinebeck Rowdies, playing their first game at the U10 level, staged an impressive 5-1 win over Wallkill last Sunday. The Rowdies, after going winless in the first year, were joined in the offseason by many new players, including Jackson Blomgren, Marc Jussi and Ben Shaw, all of whom contributed goals in the effort against Wallkill. They were led on offense by last year's star, Elias Econopouly, who scored twice. Veteran defenders Taylor Lewis and Alec Gautier, supported by new player Rosario Grasso, continually frustrated the Wallkill offense. Newcomers Emily Entner, Brad Holen, Nate Shanahan, Zach Matthews and Frankie Marnell all contributed strong efforts in the win.
