Game Summaries for the Fall 2008 Season
11/2/2008 - Rhinebeck Rovers 3, Poughkeepsie 2
The U11 Rovers used their home field advantage to win over the City of Poughkeepsie 3-2. Striker Cameron Mimoso netted the first goal off a long cross from Chris Marvin. Ryan Euell assisted Natalie Hutchins to gain the lead, then Hutchins returned the favor to set up Euell for the game winning goal. Defenders Sam Pomichter and Ethan Babirad kept the fleet footed opponents scoreless in the second half.
10/26/2008 - North Salem 5, Rhinebeck Rovers 1
The U11 Rovers played hard, but came away with a loss to North Salem. Daniel Caputo notched the only goal in a very physical game, with notable play from Chris Cassens, Robbie Santamorena, and Josh Martin.
10/19/2008 - Rhinebeck Rovers 5, Cortlandt 1
In another fast paced game, the U11 Rovers beat the Cortlandt Red Glare on home turf. Christopher Marvin continued to dominate the field with two goals to his credit. Forward Cameron Mimoso found the back of the net twice as well. Also scoring for Rhinebeck was Ryan Euell, who was supported by stellar play from Daniel Caputo, Spencer Hutchins, and Ryan Hall.
10/5/2008 - Dover 6, Rhinebeck Rovers 3
Rhinebeck's U11 Rovers traveled to Dover and tallied only their second loss of the season to the Cavaliers. The back of the net was found by Chris Marvin, Ryan Euell, and Daniel Caputo. Spencer Hutchins and Natalie Hutchins kept the pressure on, but Dover's strong defense and fast offense were unbeatable.
9/28/2008 - Rhinebeck Rovers 3, Cortlandt 0
The U11 Rovers team shut out Cortlandt on their own turf with some smart passing and aggressive defense. Natalie Hutchins scored the first goal with an assist from Josh Martin, then tallied an assist when she crossed to a waiting Ryan Euell. Ethan Babirad, playing solid defense, then booted a long ball right to Cameron Mimoso, who found the back of the net. Defenders Chris Cassens and Sam Pomichter demonstrated stellar skills in keeping the Corlandt team scoreless.
9/21/2008 - Rhinebeck Rovers 6, Wappingers 0
The U11 Rovers shut out the visiting Wappingers Blackfeet by a score of 6-0. Chris Marvin led the offense with a hat trick, accompanied by goals from Cameron Mimoso, Josh Martin, and Daniel Caputo. Caputo and Mimoso also tallied assists, along with Natalie Hutchins, Chris Cassens and Ryan Euell. Keepers Rob Santamorena, Sam Pomichter, and Josh Martin kept the opponent scoreless.
9/14/2008 - Rhinebeck Rovers 4, Newburgh 1
The humidity didn't stop the U11 Rhinebeck Rovers from turning up the heat on an aggressive Real FC team in Newburgh Sunday. The back of the net was found twice by Ryan Euell, aided by Natalie Hutchins and Chris Cassens. Christopher Marvin also scored for the Rovers. Robbie Santamorena, Daniel Caputo, and newcomer Ryan Hall played tirelessly to keep the opponents at bay.
9/7/2008 - Beacon 4, Rhinebeck Rovers 2
The season home opener for the boys U11 soccer team ended in a loss for the Rhinebeck squad. Down 3-0 at the half, the Rovers rallied and scored two goals to get within reach, but Beacon retaliated with another to close the door. The back of the net was found by Christopher Marvin and Natalie Hutchins. Hutchins also had an assist, along with Cameron Mimoso. Keepers Josh Martin and Ryan Euell combined for 8 saves.
