There will be no interruptions at games or practices to speak to the coaches. The head coach for each squad is listed below:

Practice Times:

The practice times are from 5:00 – 7:00, Monday – Friday beginning Monday, August 11th.

Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, the practices will be Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 –7:00, for the remainder of the season. The season ends with our Cheeroffs, Saturday, November 8th and the Superbowl game on Sunday, November 9th.

Any alterations to this schedule other than weather will be done prior to the change, either verbally or a note from the head coach or General Manager.

Practice/Game Fields:

At no time is a parent allowed to walk onto the practice field and or game field during practice or a game unless requested by the GM or Head Coach.

If a child needs to leave practice early notify the head coach prior to the practice beginning.

If an emergency comes up during practice and a child needs to leave notify the GM, they will retrieve your child from the field.

If a parent is concerned because a child is not participating or has questions regarding their child on the field please contact the GM.

Parents or spectators are never allowed on the game fields or sidelines. Only in the stands or spectator area’s.

Parents, please do not coach your child from the sidelines.

There are several reasons for this policy,

If a child is hurt, they will react differently when mom or dad steps up and this could inflect additional injury to the child if he moves before he is checked out.

The parents are not covered under the insurance we carry for the fields. There is allot of activity going on anything could happen, a ball hitting you or a tackle going on and the children are being taught not to stop until they here a whistle.

Disruption for the players. This could have the most impact. The children must stay focused during these times. Football is a collision sport and if a child is not focused he can get hurt or the child next to him can get hurt.

Pickup Times:

Parents are responsible for picking up the children directly after practice. Practice ends at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. It is imperative that there is someone responsible for the child to be there at this time. Children come off the field and expect to see someone there. We will not leave a child unattended but we have meetings to attend during the football season and we will need to be able to leave on time. Coaches are not allowed to drive children home due to liability.

Rain:

Yes, we do practice during Rain. If there is lightening there will be no practice or if a storm starts during practice the children must be taken off the field. We do not have a facility to house the children during this type of weather. Therefore if the weather is questionable someone needs to be available to pick up the child at any time.

Tornado Warnings:

No, we don’t practice during a Tornado Warning. Yes, we do practice if there is a Tornado Watch. But if it Watch changes to a Warning we must leave the field. We do not have a facility to house the children during this type of weather. Therefore if the weather is questionable someone needs to be available to pick up the child at anytime.

Missed Practices:

The parent or guardian needs to notify the head coach if a child is going to miss a practice in advance, if it is a schedule conflict, illness and other reason. Our policy has been put in place to ensure the safety of the children and respect of the other children that are making it to practice.

One absence the child might not start in the game that week.

Two absences the child may not be eligible to play in the game that week but must attend the game in uniform. The Head Coach will determine eligibility.

If a child does not practice for even one day he/she is vulnerable to injury. After two days the risk is even higher. If a child has been sick usually they are not even ready to return to playing for that week’s game.

Disrespectful Behavior:

The ROYFT organization takes pride in our organization, parents, board members, support persons and players. Disrespectfulness will not be tolerated.

Players can be pulled from a game or practice and if the behavior continues can be separated from the team. This includes players from visiting teams on our game fields also.

Improper behavior by the parents or spectators is not tolerated.

Parents/Spectators can be ejected from the practice field and/or game field. If this is not adhered to the child can be asked to leave with them.

Coaches, GMs and or ROYFT board members are subject to the same conditions for our teams as well as the visiting teams on our game fields. We have a code of conduct for our league and all board members and coaches must adhere to it.

If there are any questions regarding our policies, please contact the General Manager and if you need further assistance you can contact the President and/or Vice President of our organization.
