FALL BALL FAQs

The Fall Ball program is organized with the purpose of providing an opportunity for players to prepare for the level at which they will play in the following spring season. It also traditionally allows for players to develop their skills at certain positions for which they have been considered but may not have had many opportunities to try in regular season games. Players are often able to practice skills such as bunting or recently taught batting instruction in real-game situations.

They have the chance to travel to towns that participate in the program such as Parsippany and Morristown. The schedule typically will include a weekday game and a Saturday game each week. Most weekday games have been held in Roxbury as we have lighted fields. The groupings will consist of the following:6 and 7 year old clinic -Practices and practice games (In town)8 and 9 year old - In-town and away games to prepare for the next Minors season10-12 year old - In town and away games to prepare for the next Majors season (Note: 10s play in this division but may not necessarily be drafted into the majors for the next spring season)Game results are not recorded in this program. This policy allows greater flexibility for team Managers in field placement and in player’s at-bats. Coaches commonly take advantage of the program to put into effect more challenging types of plays. It is also a great opportunity for coaches to hone their skills in supervising games.The season starts in the beginning of September and runs through the end of October.Registrations will run through July 25th. Please avoid late registrations as team must be put together and uniforms ordered in time to be ready for September.

Fill out the attached form and drop off at Roxbury Recreation by June 30th with your check made payable to "Roxbury Little League."
