RMFL Week Two

Week 2 in the RMFL finished with 2 lopsided games and one nailbiter. In Brandon, Dauphin welcomed a young Neelin team to the 2009 season with a sound 74-18 thumping. Neelin will be in tough again next week as they take on a perennial powerhouse in the Southwest Sabres. The Sabres hosted Parkwest in their home opener and picked up a 46-13 win to move both teams to 1-1 on the season. In the game of the week Stonewall managed to escape Virden with a 12-7 win despite the fact that Virden controlled the time of possession and moved the ball very well in front of a large home crowd.

Week One
Week one is in the books after three close games with the home team coming out on top in all three. In Dauphin big plays led the Clippers to a 23-12 victory over the Virden Golden Bears. A couple of third quarter turnovers helped Stonewall edge past Southwest 24-20 in a rematch of the 2008 Championship. Finally in Shoal Lake the Parkwest Outlaws garnered their first ever win with a big fourth quarter. The final score was Parkwest 25 - Neepawa 20.
