Rush Henrietta 3rd & 4th Grade Lacrosse Team

RH 3/4 Teams

Coach Clark and myself would like to extend the invite to all the players to participate in both Coach Clark games and Coach Mix games, we will only have 2 game conflicts that we will have to take seperate players to. 2 reasons for keeping the players together are:

1. Gives the boys extra playing time for the great sport of lacrosse with their friends.

2. With extra players we will have subsitutes for when the players get tired.

This only optional for the players. Next week we will talk about how to split them for the games that we do have conflicts. We only request that you let us know if will not be attending a game. and please try to get to the field 30-45 minutes early of game time so the players can get warmed up.

5/18 RH vs. Penfield

**GAME TIME CHANGE**

We need to change our game time due to field conflict with soccer club. We have changed our game time to 8:45 am. Please be at the field at 8:15 to start warm-up. We will be playing on the larger field on
Saturday. Please call or text if you will not be able to attend the game. my cell number is 727-4708.

ü      Please take care of your equipment, and don’t modify it in any way.  Remember each set is over $200 and you are responsible for lost or damaged items.  We chase down equip each year this year we will be sending an invoice.

ü      The Town of Henrietta owns the Jerseys and we are asking that they ONLY be worn on game day and to school on Fridays before games.  The replacement cost for a jersey is $20 - $35 depending on the style.  If we lose a few more we will not have enough for an entire team and would need to re-order.

ü      Players MUST have a mouth piece to participate

ü      Parent Contract must be filled out before players are issued a Game jersey

ü      Players MUST wear cleats (Molded football style)

ü      We are requesting that players wear black gym style shorts or sweat pants – Please no cargo pants or denim shorts.

ü      If you have an issue PLEASE - Talk to your coach first and then the coordinator.  We want to address issues promptly and make this a fun, safe and enjoyable experience for all.

ü      Parent, photographers and spectators MUST remain on the spectators sideline and never come onto the field.

Parent Reps: on the web page

Our Philosophy - Our programs focus on "Having Fun" while learning the fundamental skills for playing lacrosse.  Our philosophy is that winning is secondary to sportsmanship, respect, FUN, hard work, and involvement by all team members.  If our players can accomplish these things in a game or practice we are winners!

Game Schedule/Direction (TBD – On Web Page) - Please arrive 30 minutes early for games and 10 minutes early for practices.  This will ensure players are ready to start on time.  Players should dress appropriately for the conditions and should always bring a sport/squirtable water bottle with their name on it.

PLEASE INFORM YOUR COACH IF YOU WILL MISS A GAME.  This will allow the coaches to transfer players from the other team or make necessary player position adjustments.

Equipment - The players are responsible for their equipment.  The cost per player is over $200 - so please make sure it is cared for and returned at the end of the season.

Issues - As mentioned - please talk to your coach about ANY problem or concern you have.  Please do this immediately in order to resolve the issue before it becomes a problem, however, we ask that you wait 24 hours to gather your thoughts on any issue that you may be emotional about.

Please inform your coach of any medical situation or injury your son has.  We want to make sure the experience is FUN as well as safe.

Our philosophy for youth lacrosse is different from the mentality used in other youth sports.   We constantly battle with elite/premier teams in other youth sports, where the coaches demand year round practice and games in their particular sport.  We, on the other hand, want to see our youth lacrosse players play as many different sports as possible to have a better chance of becoming successfull student athletes later in their scholastic experience.  It is a fact that student athletes have better grades and learn the time management skills that will help them be successful in other areas.  We feel that youth athletes playing multiple sports have better odds at becoming student athletes in one sport or another.

Volunteers - We need your help to make this an enjoyable experience.  PLEASE TALK TO YOUR COACH ABOUT HELPING!
