T-BALL RULES

 

1.   Use a phone chain for rain outs.  Rain outs will NOT be rescheduled.

 

2.   T-Ball is from 10-12 on Saturdays.  Managers can elect to have one practice per week.

 

3.   The teams must be able to complete any inning they start.  NO INNING will start after 11:45.

 

4.   Both teams should assist in setting up the fields.

 

5.   The home team is listed first, should use the 1st base dugout, and bat last.

 

6.   All girls will play.  All girls will have fun.

 

7.   There will be no forfeits. All games will end in a tie.  There will be NO score keeping.

 

8.   At the end of each game, all players and coaches will line up and shake hands with the opposing team.

 

9.   Both teams will pick up the field and dugouts.

 

10.            Catcher’s equipment may be big, but it is mandatory for all players to wear it when they are behind the plate.

 

11. The manager will determine batting order.

 

12. When the team is in the field on defense, all girls will be on the field.  The infield positions will consist of a pitcher, a catcher, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base, and shortstop.  The remainder of the girls will play behind the grass line of the infield.

 

13. When a play is made and the runner is out, she will leave the base.

 

14. Each runner will advance 1 base at a time.  The last batter for the team at the end of an inning will run all the bases.

 

15.            Coaches will be on the field and in the batter’s box to assist the players with the basic fundamentals of the game.

 

16. Players may be pitched to, if desired.  It is recommended each girl may get three pitches.  If she has not hit the ball after three pitches, she must use the tee.

 

17.            Remember this is a fun time for the girls to learn the great sport of softball.  Teach them, encourage them, and enjoy the sport.
