Jaycees

I was a player from 1959 to 1961 for the Jaycees, Raytown Girls Softball League. I totally enjoyed playing the game. I played baseball and softball every day of each summer of my life from age 8. I still wish I could play today. It was the best part of my life. The game of baseball or softball just gets in your blood, and you live, sleep and breathe it as a kid. I watch today the TV Games of Little League Softball and Baseball, and the joy on the children's faces say it all. You can tell the ones who enjoy the game for the pure love of it. You can also see the faces that are forced to play by a parent or taken the love of the game out of them by a coach or rough manager. I hope I get a response as to what everyone is doing these days. I remember Margaret Probst, and forget the team she played for, yet I remember her as an awesomely talented softball player. She was a hard, focused and a treat to watch play the game. She was the best player in the Raytown Girls Softball League, the years I played.
