This book offers a comprehensive, step-by-step approach to the college search process for any athlete. It specifically examines softball at the collegiate level and helps you determine both your collegiate goals and the type of team you could play for. It covers NCAA and NAIA academic and recruiting guidelines and discusses what you should do to get ready to play in college.
I have not read it personally, but many people have told me that it is an excellent resource.

Hofstra University Camps and Clinics
Hofstra University is the only Division I softball team to ever win 11 consecutive conference championships. Hofstra's coach, Bill Edwards, is one of the most respected softball coaches in the county. In addition, the coaching staff was recently named the Mid Atlantic Coaching Staff of the Year. Saint Louis University is holding a clinic for Pitchers and Catchers on Saturday, November 29 from 9 am - 2 pm. The Clinic will be run by New Zealand Pitching coach Russell Cooper. There is also a players clinic on Saturday, January 31, from 9-3.

UVA is also running an unofficial visit day on January 5th for kids interested in becoming better acquainted with The University of Virginia, which will introduce them to all things UVA Softball, including our athletic facilities, our athletic academic support center, and a full Grounds led by our coaching staff. It will be a great opportunity for the kids and any parents interested in taking a look at UVA and all it has to offer.

Directions to Monmouth University Softball clinics: Boylan Gym
* Enter private residence address of 140 Larchwood Ave West Long Branch, NJ 07764 if using a GPS device, but follow MU entrance signs when close.
* From the Garden State Parkway – Take Exit 105. The Parkway off-ramp leads directly onto Route 36 East. Continue on Route 36 (East) approximately 3 miles to Route 71 South (West Long Branch) exit. Turn right onto Route 71 at end of ramp. Go approximately 1 mile and Route 71 will fork left and become Cedar Avenue (take the fork left at the traffic light). Continue on Cedar Avenue and turn right at the next light, which is Larchwood Avenue. Pass several athletic fields and entrance to Monmouth University is on your left.
* From the NJ Turnpike (from the south; north-bound)
Take NJ Turnpike North to Exit 7A. After toll plaza, take I-195 east to “Shore Points”. Approaching Belmar, I-195 becomes NJ Route 138. After crossing Parkway, exit right to NJ Route 18 North marked “Eatontown”. Take Deal Road exit and drive east to “T” intersection at Monmouth Road. Turn left and proceed to third traffic light, which is Cedar Avenue.
Turn right on Cedar (also labeled NJ 71 South). At traffic light at Larchwood Avenue, make a right. Pass several athletic fields and entrance to Monmouth University is on your left.
Once on campus - Directions to Boylan Gymnasium - Monmouth University
After turning into the Larchwood University entrance, continue on the driveway that borders the big commuter parking lot (head straight to the Facilities Management building, turn left and head towards the Rebecca Stafford Student Center, turn left and drive towards Boylan Gymnasium). Park as close to Boylan Gym as possible and enter through the double doors under the blue awning.

Our camp will run from Monday July 13 – Thursday July 16 from 9am – 3pm. We will not have a rain date.
Oklahoma State University Camps and Clinics
The Advanced Camp will be held June 14-17, 2009 for grades 9-12. The Intermediate Camp will be held June 21-24, 2009, ages 8-14. The cost of attendance is $400 for a resident and $300 for a commuter. Campers will stay at Bennett Hall across from Gallagher-Iba Arena. Online registration is preferred through our secure website at www.okstate.com.
