Racine Area Soccer Association (RASA) is celebrating 30 years of providing positive soccer programs to the youth in Racine and surrounding communities.
We have programs for all players ages 3-17 years. Please review the program descriptions below to find which one best fits your child. You can then go to that program page directly by clicking on the program name, or choose the program tab on the left side of our home page.
Fall session is scheduled to begin on September 6th, 2008.
RASA Rec
This recreational program is for children between the ages of 4 -13 years. Both new and experienced players are welcome to participate. We have about 2,600 children enrolled this spring (2008) in RASA Rec. This group generally practices once a week and the day and time is determined by the coach (volunteer parent). Games are held on Saturdays and some Sunday afternoons. All games are held at the SCORe Complex. This program does not participate in any tournaments and teams are formed based on player request and home location by the RASA Registration Manager.
RASA Classic
This competitive program is for children between the ages of 8 – 17 years. This is for experienced players starting at the U9 level. We have 267 children enrolled this spring (2008) in RASA Classic. This program generally practices two days a week and the day and time is determined by the coach. Games are mostly held on the weekends. The location of games varies with this program. About half the amounts of games are played at SCORe. While the remainder require some travel in Southeast Wisconsin. RASA Classic teams have the option to play in tournaments as well. Teams are formed based on a draft held by RASA Classic Coaches and RASA Personnel.
RASA Small & Speedy
This program is strictly for children 3 years of age. This is RASA’s instructional course offered to the youngest participants. We have 80 children currently enrolled this spring (2008) in RASA Small & Speedy. This program does not have assigned teams and is a PARENT PARTICIPATION course. There are no official games and the children do not play in tournaments. This course is held at the SCORe Complex on Monday or Thursday evenings.
RASA Superstars
This program begins at age 3 and continues up to 20 years of age for those players with special needs. We have 31 players currently enrolled this spring (2008) in our Superstar program. This is an instructional program that shares the joy of soccer with the players. This program does not have assigned teams, games or tournaments. It is held at the SCORe Complex on Monday evenings.
RASA East Academy
This program is for children age 5 – 17 years with or without previous soccer experience. This spring (2008) is the first season we have held RASA East Academy and have enrolled 41 players. This program is offered as an alternative to traveling to weekly practices and the games held at the SCORe Complex. Children meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at Pershing Park located behind the Racine YMCA for instruction, fundamentals and scrimmages. Teams are formed on a weekly basis by the RASA East Academy Manager or Instructor. The players do have the option to play in tournaments.
