Robert A. Cole Baseball: Baseball 2012 Divisions
The T-Ball division is an introductory league designed to teach kids how to stand at the tee and swing, also to teach the basics about base runinng, and to learn the proper way to throw and catch a ball.
There will be a three inning simulated game that get the kids up to bat and to try out the techniques they are learning. As the season progresses pitching to the batter by the coach will be their last lessons of the season to prepare them for the next level of baseball.
The age group for this division are 5 and 6 year olds.
Coach Pitch
The Coach Pitch division is a continuation of what was learned in T-Ball. The fundamentals such as catching the ball, hitting, and fielding will continue to be stressed.
There will be a six inning simulated game that will allow the kids to use the skills they have learned. Players will be pitched to by either a coach or pitching machine. As the season progresses pitching to the batter by eight-year olds will be their last lessons of the season to prepare them for the next level of baseball.
The age group for this division are 7 and 8 year olds. Six year olds who wish to play in this league must try-out and be granted permission to participate in this division.
Minors'
The Minors' division is where your child will begin to really develop and show his skills as a player. This is a competitive league playing by official Little League rules.
The age group for this division are 9 and 10 year olds. Eight year olds who wish to play in this division must try-out and be granted permission to participate in this division.
Majors'
The Majors' division is the culmination of all those years prior and all the fundamentals are further developed and sharpened. Now the inner strategies of baseball become the next lessons to the player. This is a competitive league playing by official Little League rules.
The age group for this division are 11 and 12 year olds. Ten year olds who wish to play in this division must try-out and be granted permission to participate in this division.
