Mission Statement
The Anquan Boldin Foundation is a youth-oriented, charitable organization that is dedicated to expanding the educational and life opportunities of underprivileged children. Since its inception in 2004, the Foundation has inspired hundreds of well-deserving students and athletes to strive for a better future. In furtherance of that mission, the organization seeks donations that will provide technology and materials for schools in low-income areas, as well as college scholarships, food, and clothing for children living in poverty.

Anquan Boldin, Founder and President
Mr. Boldin has played professional football for most of his adult life. Although he is well known throughout the NFL for his work ethic and professionalism, he is also admired for his involvement with local communities, fostering relationships with young people and helping them fulfill their dreams.
During his early years as a student-athlete at Florida State University, Mr. Boldin’s strength of character led the Atlantic Coast Conference to award him the Brian Piccolo Award by as the conference's most courageous player. Likewise, Mr. Boldin’s work ethic and character has continued in his professional career. In 2004, he was named a Walter Payton Man of the Year finalist, an award which is given by the NFL in recognition of community service and playing excellence. In the same year, he was also awarded the Ed Block Courage Award by the Arizona Cardinals for overcoming hardship with courage.

The Anquan Boldin Foundation s a non-profit organization founded by Arizona Cardinals wide reciever Anquan Boldin.
Anquan began the Anquan Boldin Foundation during his NFL sophomore season with a mission to bring hope to underprivileged children. His “Anquan Boldin Foundation” is dedicated to expanding the educational and life opportunities of underprivileged children. Contributions will provide technology and materials for schools in low-income areas, college scholarships, and food and clothing for children living in poverty.
The Anquan Boldin Foundation now transcends it's original mission and now has expanded to public and charter school districts. "Q81" sports leagues are sprouting up throughtout Arizona and Floria. The leagues are "kid" driven with instruction in basic athletic and life skills. Our goal is to provide athletes, parents and coaches a spiritual outlet through sports and to develop within each athlete, strong values and attitudes, with a foucus on athletics and good citizenship.

ANQUAN BOLDIN FOUNDATION EFFORTS
Q81 Scholarship Fund
Florida and Arizona are known for their large population of migrant farm workers, who travel across the country each season to pick crops for a living. Unfortunately, the seasonal harvest rarely coincides with the typical school year, and migrant children often start school in October, several months after classes have begun. As a result, one of the Foundation’s goals is to work with schools to create programs to help such children catch up and to encourage them to pursue higher education.
In addition to the migrant project, the Foundation plans to support a project of great importance and concern to Mr. Boldin’s fiancé, Dionne, directed at African American youth who are mislabeled with learning disabilities. The plan is to further counsel the children and provide tutoring, mentoring and counseling for them and their parents.
In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the Foundation will also offer scholarships and assistance to other youths in selected schools from various demographics and ethnic groups. Annual scholarships will allow recipients to attend college and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
With your help The Anquan Boldin Foundation represents more than a leap forward; we hope to add a whole new dimension community service.
High School Sports Leagues
Among the Foundation’s other efforts, Mr. Boldin is a proud supporter of the Arizona Amateur Athletic Conference (AAAC), which has become the premier athletic league for Arizona Charter Schools. The AAAC offers volleyball, football, basketball and cheerleading by age group, junior, and senior high school levels. All participants are welcome, and everyone plays. Our high school and junior high school conferences include the finest in Arizona's charter school athletes.
The AAAC league is "kid" driven and includes instruction in basic football skills, conditioning and speed improvement and everyone plays! Athletes often get a chance to train with and attend camps held by former and current pro players! In addition, there are opportunities to meet and train with the finest in little league, high school and college players!
Q81 Youth Football Camps
This past July, the Foundation hosted three youth football camps in the City of Glendale at Independence High School for children grades 3-12. The camps were free and focused on the fundamentals of football as well as the importance of education. Over 400 children participated. Each child received a Reebok T-shirt and a duffel bag as well as pizza, snacks, and an autographed picture of Mr. Boldin.
Many volunteers donated their time to event, including Leonard Pope from the Cardinals and former NFL players Derrick Kennard, Rob Moore, and Martay Jenkins.
High School Grants
Anquan and the Foundation team were very impressed by Head Football Coach Kelley Moore and his student athletes, especially with their efforts at his 2005 & 2006 youth football camps. All of th IHS football players volunteered their time to teach younger children about the game.
Since the relationship started, Anquan has joined the team for a morning weight-lifting session. He also attends IHS games on a regular basis - bringing players like David macklin, Bryant Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald with him as well.
The Foundation has hosted the football team at the Cardinals games and training camp as well. in 2005 the group enjoyed the sideline view of warm-ups and met with Marcel Shipp and Anquan after the game.
Anquan also donated $10,000 to the football team $5,000 was his personal contribution, the other $5,000 was provided by the NFL Youth Football Fund.
In 2006, Anquan has extended his efforts in the valley attending and supporting high school football at Phoenix Christian high school and Chandler Hamilton high school. He plans to make his 2006 NFL grant donation to Phoenix Christian.

UPCOMING Q81 FOUNDATION EFFORTS
Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley
Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley
The Anquan Boldin Foundation has made contributions to several Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley fundraising events over the past year. This year and in the New Year, he plans to visit the Chandler and Rosenswieg Boys and Girls Clubs in the East and West Valley .
In 2005, Mr. Boldin made an appearance at a Phoenix Boys and Girls Club in July to dedicate a basketball court that was donated by Rhino Sports, one of the Foundation's corporate friends. He led the children in a series of stretches, and joined the youth in a pick-up-game. He also distributed autographed football cards to each child.
PAST EFFORTS
West Valley Child Crisis Center
In November of 2004, Mr. Boldin visited the children and staff at the West Valley Child Crisis Center in Glendale. He played catch, signed autographs, and provided tickets for the group to attend one of the Cardinals home games. Foundation volunteers accompanied the children at the stadium, where they enjoyed watching warm-ups from the sidelines, hot dogs and nachos, and meeting with Mr. Boldin after the game.
The Foundation will be providing the West Valley Child Crisis Center with another field trip to a game this season, as well as with clothing and toys for the holidays.
Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund
Like many of his NFL peers, Mr. Boldin contributed to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Disaster Fund. In addition to the Cardinals team efforts for displaced victims of the storm, Mr. Boldin and his Foundation also contributed to several local private fundraising efforts.
Pahokee High School
Mr. Boldin is a proud graduate of Pahokee High School in Florida. Therefore, in addition to his contribution to Independence High School here in Arizona, Mr. Boldin also donated $5,000 to his alma mater's football program. The NFL Youth Football Fund matched this contribution. The check presentation is planned for this off-season.
Osborn Middle School
In October of 2005 year, Mr. Boldin visited Osborn Middle School in Phoenix, where he spent an hour visiting with thirty "at-risk" children. These children are labeled "at-risk" for their poor behavior, low grades, home situations, or a combination of the three. The Foundation created and incentive program for these children. Each quarter, for those children who make improvements in their grades and behavior, the Foundation will provide them with a "fun day."
The first "fun day" is coming up on December 11, when students who are progressing will be rewarded with trip to a Cardinals game.
