PUYALLUP JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL CLUB: HISTORY
OUR HISTORY
Erin McGinn and her father Dan McGinn created Puyallup Juniors Volleyball Club in 2004. The club began when Erin and Dan McGinn wanted to create a team that her sister could compete on at a higher level. Her sister and her friends were all interested in volleyball, they had played 7th grade volleyball at Aylen Junior High, and were wanting to play together in a more competitive environment. So the Puyallup Juniors Volleyball Club was formed as a place for the girls to compete in a higher level of play and the rest is pretty much history. The same core group of girls played together from that first season until they graduated from high school. Over the years we had various players leave to join other teams and likewise, we had players leave other teams to join ours. The goal has always been to create a fun, competitive, and learning-filled atmosphere on our teams, and we continue to focus on trying to take all of the "drama" out of club volleyball. We also continue our best to keep costs down and to develop a team where every player has playing time and have the chance to improve their skills. Over the course of those years, we developed many friendships with the girls and their parents, and those relationships are still going on today. We have a proven record of creating competitive teams. We beleive in teaching the fundamentals of volleyball and the benefits of hardwork. In the 2010 season we will be five teams strong.
