An open message to all members of the PHS Girls Soccer team,
Well, by now, you are aware that I will not be coaching this year. Coach Morris and Coach Paulin will do a great job. It was a very hard decision, but one that was necessary due to my increased travel schedule for work. I am scheduled to be out of town for the first 6 of 8 weeks for 2004, so coaching was simply not an option.
I hope you all have a tremendous season, and maybe (with Coach Morris' blessing) I will be able to participate in some of your practices. Who knows, maybe my work duties will change in the future and I may be able to come back and assist.
My involvement with this team and all of the girls I coached was one of the most gratifying things I have ever done. I look back at the team we put together 3 years ago, and the way each of you has grown as a person and a player, and I am amazed at this growth, and the fact that I was fortunate enough to be a part of it.
My prayers are with each and everyone of you, and I hope you will always consider our time spent together on the soccer field as gratifying as I do.
I miss coaching, and I will miss each of you. I will attend every game possible, and you will definitely hear my encouragement from the stands in the same way I offered encouragement from the sidelines.
I wish you luck.
