Yorktown blanks Bombers

The Yorktown Revolution came out swinging and put 11 runs on the board and kept the Bombers hitless to spoil opening day for Post 290. Plagued by errors and walks, the Bombers could not get any offense generated and fell in their first game of the season. A key defensive play in the first inning for the Bombers was when Yorktown attempted a squeeze play with a runner on third base. Bomber’s Kristen Sharpe fielded the bunt and made a perfect toss to Rebekah McDaniel who was blocking the plate and held on to the ball after the hard collision for the second out. Heather Anderson then got the next Yorktown batter to fly out to end the inning.
