Dear Ponderosa Little League Families,

On behalf of the Little League Board, we welcome everyone to the 2014 baseball season.  We are excited about this new year as we have more players in our league than we have had in the past several years. 

Our organization is committed to delivering the best possible experience for our players and families.  Accomplishing this is only possible with the help from our volunteers, and we would like to personally thank all of them. 

It is Ponderosa Little League’s goal to keep registration fees as reasonable as possible but at the same time provide the best facilities and equipment.  Achieving these important goals can only be accomplished by significant fundraising events and activities involving members of the community and player families.

Last year, our fundraising efforts raised over $20,000, while giving away over $3000 in prizes.  The league was able to purchase over $15,000 of new equipment for this upcoming season due to the successes of our fundraisers.
 
Leading off this year’s fundraising events, we are excited to announce the 2nd annual MEGA CASH RAFFLE on Opening Day.  Tickets sell for $10 each and every player will receive 5 tickets to sell.  Players who sell any winning ticket will also receive a prize. 

Our second fundraising event will be our 2nd annual Pasta Palooza Dinner and Auction at Cameron Park Country Club.  This dinner is an adult’s only night out including a delicious Italian dinner with beer and wine provided, a no host cocktail bar, and music for dancing.  This fun event is on Saturday, March 8th and the cost is $40 per person.  Currently, there are only 30 tickets left for sale . . . don’t miss out on a great social event!

Opening Day is set for March 22nd at Rasmussen Park starting at 9 a.m.  This is a great family event so please mark your calendars and plan to attend.  We will have a juniors game at 3 p.m. that day so plan to stay and watch some great baseball. 

The Ponderosa Little League organization is incredibly successful because of the support from all of the hard working volunteers.  There are many areas to assist the league throughout the year and the more assistance we receive, the more success we will have.  If you haven’t already, please become involved in helping to make this year, the league, and the experiences for the players, the best ever.
 
On behalf of the board, we thank all of the past and future volunteers for their time, effort, energy and presence in helping to make Ponderosa Little League a great organization, and we look forward to a positive, successful and fun baseball season!  Play ball!
