Sydney Fleege, a 2009 6'0" Outside Hitter for Bettendorf High School and Platform Elite VBC, has signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the Islanders of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Her accomplishments include MAC All-Conference 2nd Team in 2007, member of Iowa High Performance Girl's Youth National Team in 2007, MAC All-Conference 1st Team in 2008, helped her team win two MAC Conference Championships, selected to play in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association All-Star Volleyball Classic for 2008 and Mississippi Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

Ecker signs NLI with University of Southern Mississippi

Halie Ecker, a 2009 5'-9" OH from Moline High School, has signed her National Letter of Intent to play volleyball for the Golden Eagles of the University of Southern Mississippi during the first day of the NCAA early signing period. Ecker, a three-year player for Platform Elite VBC chose Southern Miss to fulfill her dream of playing Div. I ball in a rising VB program and a strong academic program in marketing and theater. Ecker completes her MHS career as one of the most dominant attackers and servers in school history setting the standard in multiple categories and being named to two All-Conference teams, nine All-tournament teams, three Metro All-Star teams, three IHSA Regional Championships and two Conference Championships.

Platform Elite VBC Garners USA Volleyball Iowa Region Awards
Congratulations to Melissa Pavelka and Mike Ducey for their recent awards from the Iowa Region as voted on by their peers.
Melissa was named the Outstanding Program Director and Mike received the award for Junior Male Coach.

Hosteng Commits to Western Illinois University

Katie Hosteng, a 2009 6'-1" MB from Galesburg H.S., has verbally commited to Western Illinois University in Macomb. Hosteng, who will be a rising Senior and playing her third year on varsity for the Silver Streaks this Fall was a member of the Platform Elite 17 Team and the Iowa Region USAV High Performance Women's Junior National Team that finished 4th in international competition in Tuscon this summer.
