2009 Majors.. 11 yr old ALL STARS

DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 11 YR. OLD ALL STAR TEAM...First time in a very long time that Plant City has won a District Title 11 yr.old...Now to the game. Chelsea Baker (my girl) threw a PERFECT game. That's right a PERFECT GAME.. The kids hit the cover off the baseball.. Brandon Connell hit his second home run of the season and Billy McKay had his first home run of the season.. And the girl with the perfect game stepped up (without her glasses) and hit her 5th home run of the season and second of the tournament. It doesn't get much better than this. In 4 games the kids scored 66 runs and gave up 7..Congratulations to the team, coaches, parents and fans. Now on to Sectionals.. Good luck.. footnote.. thanks to our League President for showing up and supporting our team...

11 yr. old ALL STARS

Not sure how many people look at this guestbook but I need to say a few things. First of all there are two all star teams playing in Haines City that have advanced to the Championship game. And now my beef. Not the President, not the Executive V.P., not the Secretary, not the Treasurer has made time to attend one game. And why I say this is because if we have any kind of controversy we have no say so in the outcome. And being the only Hillsborough County team in this district it always seems that we get the short end of the stick on these situations. All I am saying is that as the High ranking positions of this league you would think we would have at least one board member to represent our league. Just my opinion.. Rod Mason

Winning the City Championship last nite defeating the Dodgers 7 to 0. Roberto Garcia came up big for the Rays. Pitched a 1 hit ball game and had back to back home runs and scored 5 RBI's. Chelsea Baker backed that up with the other 2 RBI's... What a season the Rays had going 18-2. Looking forward to next year and the Rays going for another Championship. GOOOOOO RAAYYYYSSS!!!!!!!!

T B RAYS Majors

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Brandon Connell. First HOMERUN of Brandon's career came last nite on field #2.. Rays down 2 to 0 top of the 3rd inning and Brandon launched one to right center field.. I have coached Brandon since T Ball and there is not a nicer more pleasant youngster around than this kid. Keep up the hard work B and keep swinging for the fence.

All-Stars 9/10 American

It's me again. Just wanted everyone to know how the Minor All-Stars did at District 4 Tournament. After going to the losers bracket after the first game with Haines City the Plant City All-Stars battled back for a rematch in the Championship with Haines City again. But with the power pitching of Jaun Hillman Plant City came out on the short end of the stick. Some great baseball was played and alot of it. Jarrett Joyner rang up two home runs and Chelsea Baker hit her second of the season against the Plant City National team. Congratulations All-Stars on a great run and have a fun summer.. see ya next spring.

Minor Angels

Forgot to mention one thing about the T.O.C. Congratulations to the HOME RUN hitters. That's right hitters.... we had three kids put the ball out of the park in the T.O.C. For two of them it was there first ever over the fence home run. Chelsea Baker had a 3 run home run and Chris Gosselin put one out of orbit for the Angels. The Indians Spencer Nelson also had a home run, if I am not mistaken that was his 3rd for the year. A side note. Spencer's home run came off no other than Chelsea Baker.

So proud of all you,
Coach Rod

Minor Angels

Congratulations to the Minor Angels. T.O.C. Champions. Plant City went to the T.O.C. with one goal in mind, put two teams in the championship game. And that is what we done. Coach Cotnoir's Indians and the Angels battled it out. The Angels had to come out of the losers bracket to win the Championship. The Indians and the Angels met 3 times in this tournament so you know some good baseball was played. Congrats to the Indians for a great season and to the Angels for an awesome season as well.

Minor Angels

Not sure how many read this, but I know I post more than anyone. Just want to say Congratulations to the Blue Jays on winning the City Championship. And also congratulations to my team the Angels on finishing second with a record of 19-3-1. We had a great run and what a great bunch of kids. Thank you, and good luck at the strong team tournament next week.
