Timber Rattlers JR's.....
Been awhile since our last Championship but none the less we have another one to add to the collection.. Timber Rattlers Jr's Baseball brought home the Fall City Championship last week with a 11-10 win.. Chelsea Baker threw 5 strong innings giving up 3 runs with 10 K's.. With only losing 4 games all season the Timber Rattlers were the TEAM to beat all season and it didn't change in the City Championship.. Congrats to the entire team and coaching staff on a job well done... See ya'll in the Spring.. Happy Holidays!!! Coach Rod

Guess I will have to let people know because Coach Tate isn't one to brag on his players. So I will do it for him. Ryan Boyd came within one out of throwing a PERFECT game last nite at M.L.K. Threw 5 1/3 perfect innings and then gave up a base hit up the middle.. Ended the game with 15 strikeouts, no walks, no errors, and the one lone hit! Awesome job Ryan..Keep on hurling that rock, the PERFECT game is within reach.. Good Luck Kiddo.. Coach Rod

Muckdogs JR. Division
Congrats to the Muckdogs JR. Division for capturing the Fall Ball City Championship! Regular season Champs at 12-1.. and then Championship Game with the Riverbandits 11-1. Awesome season with some awesome kids! Gotta give kuddo's to my girl..Chelsea Baker pitched the Championship game and had 9 K's and went 2 for 2 at the plate with a walk.. scored twice and had a shot to center field about 290'.. maybe this will put to rest that she won't be able to compete with the boys on the big field!!! Batted .500 for the 15 games.. Congrats Goose!!! the Muckdogs Rock....

Hi, I teach English here in France, and for the last couple of years, I have used baseball as a teaching tool, as a way to encourage my students in their studies. So far it has worked pretty well. I can even say that bringing baseball to our school has enabled some of these kids to have better results. My students/players are all about 13 years old, and there are 5 girls on the school team (and 15 boys). When I saw the subject about Chelsea Baker on This Week in Baseball, I realized I had overlooked a few things about girls playing baseball with boys. So I'm using this video tomorrow in class to discuss a few things that are mentioned in this reportage. But I wondered if there was any way to get in touch with Chelsea Baker herself and why not ask her to write a few words for the girls on my team. I already know they will love the video and I'd love to use that opportunity to help them gain more confidence and be more daring on the field. I've tried Facebook, but it didn't work. So if any of you can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
