PYL Stingray, Piranha, Barracuda

It's fantastic the history of PYL is recognized and preserved within your chapter. I played for the OC champ Midget Stingrays under Bud Ardinez. Played with some fantastic guys like Doug Sipple, Ray Williams, Paul Cardenas, Ray Pallares, Bobby Rangle,Jim Sanford, Baily Jewit, Tim McNeil,John Ledesma and Ronny Jackson. Our chapter was small, but man could we lay the wood. Bud was a great coach and a better man. His staff was the worst dressed in the league, but they knew their stuff and they taught it well. None of the coaches had a son on the team. No bias and no politics back then. Just smash mouth football. Bud won a number of OC championships at the Midget level. I don't know where he is now, but I wish him and his family the best and offer my sincere thanks for making it possible for me to form lifelong bonds with my Stingray team.
