Pittsford took first place in eight of 12 events as the Panthers cruised past Rush Henrietta, 93-79, in a meet at Mendon Pool on January 13.
Andrew Maier, Matt Tanchick, Ryan Horey and Dan Locke won the opening 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.62. Teammates Alan Chuang, Morgan Marin, Brandon McManus and Emmett Jacobi matched them stroke for stroke, coming in second at 1:46.90.
John Lyman followed with a victory in the 200 free (1:51.89). Marin won the 200 IM (2:07.75), with Chuang in third place. Tyler McCrobie was the victor in the 50 free (23.11), with Jacobi in second place.
Alex Byrd won diving for the Panthers with 152.05 points. Jake Kaufler was second (137.20) and Travis Miller third (134.45).
Lee Silverstein took first place in the 100 fly with a time of 58.92, with Chuang second. The Panthers went 1,2,3 in the 100 freestyle with Maier first (50.60), Jacobi second and Horey third.
Tanchick won the 500 free for Pittsford (5:01.62) with Lyman taking third place. Maier also had a third place finish for the Panthers in the 100 back (58.91), to round out the scoring.
Swimming exhibition (not for points), Pittsford also posted the fastest times in three other events. Chuang, Tanchick, Charlie Harrington and Lyman were first in the 200 free relay (1:36.94). Lyman, Owen Drinkwater, Silverstein and Jacobi had the best time in the 400 free relay (3:32.19), and Harrington had the fastest time in the 100 breast (1:11.77).
Pittsford’s junior varsity also kept their unbeaten streak alive, defeating Rush Henrietta’s JV. Stephen Thomas won the 200 free and the 500 free. Chris Wideman took first place in the 50 free and the 100 fly. Scott Colby was the victor in the 200 IM. Also taking first for JV, Scott Mayall in the 100 free, Trevor McCrobie in the 100 back and Max Goodenow in the 100 breast.
