PITTSFORD DEFEATS GREECE ATHENA
PITTSFORD SWIMS PAST GREECE ATHENA TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

The Pittsford Boys Swimming and Diving team celebrated the New Year by taking first place in 11 of 12 events, defeating Greece Athena, 119-54, in an away meet on January 4.

Kenny Pink was a double winner for Pittsford, taking both the 50 free and the 100 breast, as the Panthers improved their record to 6-0, 8-0.

Matt Lobban teamed up with Pink, Sean McManus and Andrew Kuter for first place in the opening 200 medley relay. Nate French followed with a victory in the 200 free (1:48.49), with Dan Locke coming in third. Sean McManus won the 200 IM, with teammate Jimmy Prezzano in second place. Pink then scored his first win in the 50 free, with Tyler McCrobie in third place.

Pittsford swept the diving competition, with Wills DeMoulin first with 204.6 points, Charlie Shaddock second and Scott Lasher third.

In the 100 fly, Sean McManus was a close second, Locke was third and Andrew Maier fourth. Kuter’s 49.96 took first place in the 100 free, with Nate French second.
Brandon McManus won the 500 free (5:16.40), with McCrobie second and John Lyman fourth. Kuter, Locke, Prezzano and Nate French posted a 1:32.41 for first place in the 200 free relay. Matt Lobban followed with a first place in the 100 back, with Maier third, and Pink scored his second win on the day in the 100 breast.
Lobban, Lyman, Brandon McManus and Lee Silverstein closed the meet with a first place finish in the 400 free relay.

Pittsford’s junior varsity defeated the Athena JV, 100-39. Emmett Jacobi won the 200 free and the 500 free. Anders Wahl took the 50 free and 100 fly. Nick Haas was the victor in the 100 back and Owen Drinkwater was first in the 100 breast.
