PITTSFORD EASILY DEFEATS BRIGHTON IN HOME OPENER
The Pittsford Boys Swimming and Diving team celebrated its first home meet of the season by taking first place in 11 of 12 events and easily defeating Brighton, 115-66.
The Panthers had two double winners on the day. Jimmy Prezzano was the victor in the 200 IM and the 100 free. Nathan French came in first in both the 200 and 500 free events.
Other first place finishers for Pittsford included Andrew Kuter in the 50 free, Sean McManus in the 100 fly, Ben Silverstein in the 100 back and Kenny Pink in the 100 breast.
Silverstein, Kuter, Pink and Dan Locke teamed up to take first place in the opening 200 Medley Relay. Prezzano and McManus, along with Matt Lobban and Lee Silverstein, placed second in the medley.
In the 200 free relay, the combination of Locke, McManus, French and Prezzano claimed first.
Pittsford’s divers had another good day, with Sean Hingel, Wills DeMoulin and Charlie Shaddock placing 1, 3, 4.
The Junior Varsity also won by a wide margin over their Brighton counterparts, 108-55.
Matteo Bucci, Ben French, Brandon McManus and Alex Todisco teamed up for first place in the 200 Medley Relay. The 200 free relay was claimed by Andrew Maier, Matt Fetten, B. French and Todisco.
Fetten was a double winner for the JV in individual events, taking both the 200 free and 500 free. Also winning their events were B. McManus in the 200 IM, Maier in the 50 free, Spencer Brown in the 50 fly, Ben Myers in the 100 free and Ryan McCarthy in diving.
The meet took place on December 13 at Mendon Pool.
