Freshman Football Update:
9-14-09 Home vs Thomas Titans –The Freshies had a great season opener with a win over the Thomas Titans on their home turf 26-14. A real strong offensive running game established that the Panthers had come to play. Mark Davis, Utah Moffet, Nathan Fogal, and Brian Dickinson lead the team with a solid running game behind the efforts of linemen Robbie Klotz, Ryan “Rhino” VanSice, and Tim “Timber” Brennan. This opened up some critical reception opps for Sam Hoodak, Andrew Fogal, and Chris McGuirk. The Defense did a great job thwarting the Spartan running effort. Tommy Hessney rocked their QB, forced the fumble and made the recovery in a great solo effort. Ben Kroll played solid LB and had an int. along side the solid play of Brad Shumacher. Taylor Soong, Greg VanSice, Chad Howard, and Brent Binder kept up the pressure and pulled in some great solo tackles for the D line. It has been a long wait for the freshman to finally get to the season opener and it was pleasure to watch a great team performance by this group of Pittsford players.
