Chandler Massengale signs with Mississippi Delta Community College

Elite player Chandler Massengale has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career at Mississippi Delta Community College.  MS Delta is  located in Moorehead, Mississippi. They compete in the in Region 23 of the NJCAA.

The Pine Belt Dixie Elite managers and coaches would like to congraduate this fine young man on his accomplishments and wish the best moving forward in his athletic and academic career.

Pine Belt Elite is excited to announce a new partnership beginning this fall baseball season. The Elite has partnered with one of the hottest baseball equipment manufactures in the country – Akadema.

In less than a decade, they have become one of the hottest baseball and softball equipment companies in America for professional, college, high school and serious youth players.

This partnership gives Pine Belt Elite a solid partner that will give us the opportunity to continue to compete not only on a regional level but also on a nation level.

A mutually beneficial partnership gives Akadema, based in Hawthorne, N.J., more exposure for their American made gloves, bats and other gear in the Deep South.

Akadema was founded in 1997 by former major league player Lawrence Gilligan and his brother Joseph.

Joel Hilliman named Bennie Vanado National Scholarship Award Winner

Elite coaches and staff would like to congradulate Joel Hilliman for being named the 2011 Bennie Vonado National Scholarship Award Winner for the State of Mississippi.  Hillman is a senior at Perry Central High School where he helped his high school squad to a 22-8 record.

Last summer he was a member of the Pine Belt Elite Black squad.

Zach Farrar signs with West Alabama

Elite alumni Zach Farrar recently signed a national letter of intent to continue his baseball career with the University of West Alabama.

In the summer of 2009, Farrar had a break-out season and helped the Elite to the Dixie Majors World Series.  On the strenght of his summer performance he returned to PRCC where he earned the starting catcher position.

West Alabama is a Division II program that plays in the power Gulf South Conference.

The coaches and administrators of Pine Belt Dixie Baseball wish Zach the very best as he continues his baseball career.

Connor Barron commits to Southern Miss
Congraduations to Elite 18U member Connor Barron on his commitment to Southern Miss.   Barron selected the Golden Eagles over an offer from Misssissippi State.  As a junior at Sumrall this year he hit .514 with 6 HR's and 60 RBI's for Class 3A State Champs.  Barron has helped Sumrall to three consecutive 3A State Championships including a 36-0 record in 2009.

Scoot McDaniel commits to William Carey University

Elite alumnus Scoot McDaniel has committed to William Carey University and plans to sign an national letter of intent with the Crusaders on Tuesday.  The talented infielder was key in the Elite's run to the Dixie Majors World Series in 2009. 

This spring he helped Southwest CC to a sucssful season.  He hit .346 with  44 RBI's and a team high 9 home runs.  He also scored 33 runs.  His 44 RBI's is good for second in school history.  For his efforts he was named 1st Team All-State by the MACJC.  

The managers and coaches of Pine Belt Elite would like to congraduate this outstanding young man on his accomplishments and wish him the very best moving forward.

McDaniel selected William Carey over offers from The University of West Alabama and Mississippi College.

Hattiesburg Clinic Sports Medicine becomes official sports medicine provider of Pine Belt Dixie Majors
We are proud to announce a partnership with Hattiesburg Clinic Sports Medicine.  The Clinic has signed on as the official team sponsor of the Pine Belt Dixie Majors 16U and will be the official sports medicine provider for the entire Pine Belt Dixie Majors baseball program.

Adrian Lee signs with Texas Southern

Former Elite player Adrian Lee has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career at Texas Southern University.  TSU located in Houston, Texas is a Div. I program that competes in the Southwest Athletic Conference.

The Pine Belt Dixie Elite managers and coaches would like to congraduate this fine young man on his accomplishments and wish the best moving forward in his athletic and academic career.

Jake Hawkins signs with William Carey

Former Elite stand-out Jake Hawkins has signed a national letter of intent with William Carey University.  WCU, located in Hattiesburg, Miss. is a NAIA power and member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Hawkins has been a starting infielder for Pearl River CC (Poplarville, Miss.) the past two years.  He played his high school baseball at Sumrall (Miss.) High.

The Pine Belt Dixie Elite managers and coaches would like to congraduated this outstanding young man on his hard work and dedication.

Pine Belt Dixie Baseball Franchised by Dixie Baseball Inc.

We are proud to announce that Pine Belt Dixie Baseball has been granted a franchise by Dixie Baseball, Inc.  Under the franchise agreement Pine Belt Dixie Majors will be eligible to compete in the Dixie Majors State Tournament and qualify for the Dixie Majors World Series.
