CONGRATULATIONS PHOENIX FIREBIRD CHEERLEADERS!!!!!!!!

The cheerleaders did a wonderful job at the cheerfest competition! All the girls did great. A BIG congratulations especially goes out to the Jr. Midget Team for advancing to Albany on October 17th!!! You can see pictures at midcoastphoto.com then click on find your photos then CNY Pop Warner.

Punt Pass and Kick Winners!
 

This past weekend, our local Phoenix Pop Warner Punt, Pass and Kick WINNERS traveled to Clay for the regional competition.  They competed against contestants from as close by as Clay and Cicero to as far away as Postdam and Canton.  Our Phoenix contestants put in a GREAT showing at all age levels.

 

8/9 girls...Bella Garofalo took first place and will be moving on.  She will be going to compete at the Buffalo Bills game on Sunday, November 1st.  Check out the halftime show.  She will be there!  GOOD LUCK BELLA!!!!!

 

8/9 boys...Kevin Bailey took 2nd place.  Congrats Kevin!

 

10/11 girls...no participant

 

10/11 boys...Collin Recore took 2nd place.  Congrats Collin!

 

12/13 girls...Paige Recore took 2nd place.  Congrats Paige!

 

12/13 boys...Shaun Turner took 2nd place.  Congrats Shaun!

 

14/15 girls...no participant

Penny Wars and Playground Donation
We have a winner for the 2009 Pop Warner Penny Wars...
THE MIGHTY MITE FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!! They will all get pizza on a date to be determined!

An update to let you know that so far our tip jar at the concession stand has brought in $67.00 for the playground!!! All that spare change is adding up! We will keep this going until the end of the season so please help out when you can- it is for a good cause right here in our small town!

Candy Money Past Due!
If you have not already turned in your money for the mandatory candy fundraiser please do so ASAP!!! It was due on August 8th. Uniforms cannot be distributed until all candy money is turned in!

Spare "Change" our Community
A special jar has been placed at the concession stand marked "small Change for the Special Needs Playground". A local Phoenix teenager- Samantha Furco is trying to raise money for this very important cause. Lets show our Phoenix Pride and drop some spare change in the jar when ever you can. We will continue this effort for our 2009 Season.
