Mudhens Over Hot Rods
In the minors, the Fitzpatrick, Mariano & Santos Mudhens defeated the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Hot Rods by a score of 3-0. Ryan Brink and Cj Sanford combined to throw a 2-hit shutout. Brink got the win, going 4 2/3 with 13 strikeouts while Sanford earned himself a save going the last 1 1/3 in relief striking out 3. At the plate, Brink added had two hits, while TJ Clark, Jibree Bartelle, and Jesse Lanci had one each. For the Hot Rods, Stephan Bergeron was sensational on the mound striking out 10 of the 15 batters he faced.

Mudcats and Bulls Battle
The MudCats and the Bulls once again battled Thursday night. Cameron Neep pitched well for the Bulls striking out 7 in three innings. The Bulls scored early with four runs in the first and three more in the third. Nate Delaney and Joe Gralich had singles while Sean Twerian had a double. The MudCats came back from a seven run deficit to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth. Justin Stone, Blake Stone, Sean Doxsey and Jonathan Chatfield all had singles while Chatfield added a homerun in the fourth. The Cats were kept in the game by a strong pitching performance by Matt Browne who came in in relief and struck out eight.

Indians Over Giants in Thriller
The Sports Authority Indians defeated the Glendale Giants by a score of 6-5 in a nail-biter Wednesday night. Josh Saddig pitched a gem for the Indians and helped his cause at the plate with a base hit and 2 stolen bases, including a steal of home. Devon Urbano hit a double and came in to pitch 1 1/3 innings to finish it off. Todd Henry added a double and a single and starred in the field. Justin Ramos and Nicky Fontaine both had singles for the Indians. John Braziel had 2 hits for the Giants and was a vaccuum at 2nd base. Steve Marinaro hit a triple and Logan Lowe and Justin Carasone rounded out the hits for the Giants. The win moved the Indians to 7 and 4 for the year.

Cardinals Over Wateroak Dodgers
The NSB Cardinals rolled past the Wateroak Dodgers at PJ Foley stadium by a score of 12-8, improving their record to 8-2 on the season. Jeremy Glass had a strong game throwing 73 pitches in four full innings, recording 8 strike outs while issuing only 1 walk. Tristan Crelan completed the last two innings recording 5 strike outs. The Cardinals collected 11 hits, 4 walks, 9 RBI's, numerous stolen bases, stole home 3 times, and reached base safely 17 times out of 32 plate appearances. Each Cardinal contributed in some way to the win.

Cardinals Defeat Water-Oak
The NSB Cardinals beat the WaterOak Mets by a score of 15-5 at Mosgrove Field, improving their record to 7-2 on the season. Cardinals pitchers Jovanni Celli and Nick Tiexiera combined to throw 105 pitches and limit the Mets to only three hits. Matt Imperati had a solid game behind the plate catching the entire game. Contributing to the Cardinals 18 hits was Tristan Crelan, 3 for 3, 2 doubles and 4 RBI's, Jovanni Celli, 3 for 4, 2 doubles and an RBI, Jeremy Glass with a triple, a double and 2 RBI's, Nick Tiexiera 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, Nick Bruno 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, Matt Polek, Anthony Bruno, Logan Glass, Nick Grant and Dylan Laudieri all had hits.

Giants Win a Close One
In a close inter-league game, the Glendale Health Center Giants bested the Union City Diamondbacks 5-3. Steve Marinaro went the distance for the Giants allowing (5) hits while striking out (12). For the Giants both Marinaro and Logan Lowe each had a double and single and Ben Healy, Derek Sampaio, Justin Carrasone and Mason Santa Maria each singled. For the Diamondbacks Joel Guzman homered and singled, Ross Via tripled and Jon Vincent and Jay Mezzo each singled.
