Peter J. Foley Little League: Spring 2008 Divisions
Peter J Foley has five Major League teams that compete during the course of the regular season for the regular season title and playoff positioning. The overall champion is determined by the end-of-season playoff series.
Minor League Baseball
Minor League baseball plays in a more structured setting than Major League baseball. Players compete at all positions, including pitcher and catcher, but in the early season games are shortened and rules are modified to maximize instruction and player development. There is a playoff series at the end of the season.
Farm League Baseball
This instructional division for beginning players emphasizes skill development and instruction on the rules of baseball. Tees are used for batting in addition to coach-pitched game simulations.
Major and Minor League Softball
Peter J. Foley Little League Softball competes against other District 3 Little League Teams during the season.
