At a press conference held on Thursday, March 22 the Carolina Hurricanes announced the launch of Canes Youth and Amateur Hockey (CYAH) and a partnership with Raleigh Youth Hockey Association. Beginning in the 2007-08 season, the Hurricanes, through CYAH, will provide sponsorship support for our programs at all levels.
Raleigh Youth Hockey is also proud to announce the addition of a Tier I/AAA program. We were granted Tier I status by the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association on Wednesday, March 21. Our Tier I program, run in conjunction with CYAH will be called the Junior Hurricanes. This is an exciting development for RYHA and our membership.
