TYR CUP USA MEET
Penn Aquatics was extremely well represented by our swimmers in Lancaster. Penn placed third overall for small teams, 21st overall for combined teams. Not bad for three men and one woman swimmer. Day one had Nicole Jibrine in finals of the 100 fly with a best time of 59.10. Matt Chrzanowski also came in with a best time, winning the B final with a 52.60. The first night ended with Will Manion WINNING the 400 IM in a 4:11.84. Matt went on to do best times in nearly every event he swam and finished in top 10 for senior men scoring. Will Manion went on to final in multiple events and WON the 200 Back in racking up enough points to be the fourth leading scorer among senior men. Nicole went on to final in multiple events as well and Taylor Jeronis saved his best effort for last as he made the B final and swam a best time 2:03.98 in his 200 Fly. It was a big meet that these swimmers took on and made Penn Aquatics team very proud.

2009 SWIM-A-THON
Coach Casey Cloman and her gang of volunteers held our swim-a-thon at PHS and it was a great success. She had more participation and raised more money then she ever expected. It was, without a doubt, one of Penn Aquatics BEST charity functions. The kids did a great job swimming their laps and everyone had a great time for a GREAT cause. Thank you Casey for organizing the event and thank you team for participating. Even coach Meredith got in and swam with the team. Coach Casey took on all comers in some of the races and is STILL undefeated!!!!!

MEET DIRECTORS FOR 2009-2010-----If you would like to volunteer for a meet job at either a SAL or USA meet,

.....Or call Head Coach Dean Hutchinson at 215-260-3688 and leave a detailed message.....You help is needed for our children's swim meets so volunteer early and often!!!!!

  • Being part of the Pennsbury Aquatics Club swim team is exciting and rewarding for kids and parents alike! Many of our swimmers and parents remain part of the team either as swimmers, coaches, officials or volunteers for many years. This could not happen without the dedication of the families who get fully involved. Swim leagues are inherently in need of more parent volunteers than many other children's sports. What is also true is that in no other sport will your child get as many hours of training and instruction from a skilled staff of coaches at such a bargain rate. In the Suburban Aquatic League and USA Swimming swim meets, kids get a chance not only to compete on a team or individually against other swimmers. They also get an opportunity to set and exceed personal performance goals. We are asking ALL swim team parents to support your child by volunteering for a swim meet job.

IT'S THE BEST SEAT IN THE NATATORIUM!!!!!

    Thank you!

  • Pennsbury Aquatics Club Family Work Commitment

To run each home Suburban Aquatic League swim meet, it takes approximately 25 volunteers. To run an away swim meet, the visiting team is required to provide approximately 17 volunteers. Thus, being on swim team is a FAMILY COMMITMENT. You may sign up for these jobs beginning October 1st. No swim meet job can be reserved in advance of October 1st. However, if you would like to take a lead position or attend an Officials Clinic, please email the Head Coach anytime to announce your desire to do so. Your help would be gladly received!

  • For more Information on how to volunteer your time or to ask ANY questions about the PAC program, email Head Coach Dean Hutchinson at coachhutch@pennaquatics.com

What Can I Expect at a Suburban Aquatic League swim meet? Most of your questions can be answered by the meet officials (Starter/Referee or Stroke & Turns Judges), one of your child's teammates (who is an experienced competition swimmer) or your coaches. But if you are not able to talk to folks to get advice you may find the following tips and explanations in the Reference Library very helpful.....

  • If you are unable to do your Swim Meet Job, PLEASE:

Find your own substitute AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
This can be done by calling the Meet Extras until you find a
replacement. Then, let the Meet Directors (Cathy Jeronis or Diane Rice)
know who your replacement is. If you are having
trouble finding someone to replace you, the Meet
Directors can also help in finding someone to
fill your spot on the Jobs Board.
