From Coaches

"I've been a staff coach at many camps and Penn Soccer Academy is one of the premier camps. The standard and level of play is tremendous from the top to the bottom. It's not only an enjoyable camp to work but also gives you a chance to work with some top players in the country."

Sergio Gonzalez, Assistant Coach, University of Dayton

"The Penn Soccer Academy is well organized to showcase the talents of the girls who attend. The girls have a tremendous opportunity to learn from some great coaches and while doing so, impress upon those coaches their value as a potential collegiate player."

Bobby Lessentine, Head Coach, University of Missouri St. Louis

"No other camp demands as much from each individual player. As a result, campers leave with a greater understanding of the game, but more importantly a stronger sense of how hard they can push themselves to become a better soccer player."

Michelyne Pinard, Head Coach, Williams College

"The Penn Soccer Academy consistently attracts top quality student-athletes from all across the United States. The camp offers players a challenging environment where college coaches are able to see the type of student-athletes they would want in their programs. In fact I have a former PSA camper in my program right now and as a freshman she started every game and made the All-Tournament team for the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament. That is what you get and expect from the Penn Soccer Academy and the players in attendance."

Chris Kouns, Head Coach, University of Cincinnati

About Advanced Camp

"This was my daughter’s first residential camp. It was such a positive experience for her. The training that she received was excellent. The coaches, counselors and staff were terrific. The camp exceeded my expectations. My daughter was asking if she could return next summer before we had checked out!"

Sandra Curtin, Malvern, PA

"I’ve attended several soccer camps including residency camps at other schools, and found that Penn’s Camp (advanced residency 11-14) was a much better experience. We worked very hard, played very hard and learned a lot! The coaches/counselors worked us hard, taught us a lot in a short period of time, but managed to keep it fun and positive the whole time. I hope to come back next year to the College Prep Camp – and continue to work on improving my game."

Brittany Radcliff, Media, PA

"The coaches are great. I had so much fun with them, they make you want to work hard. You not only learn to play a better game of soccer, but you make a lot of new friends. My whole soccer team came, and we all had so much fun."

Lauren Minkhoff, Cherry Hill, NJ

About College Prep Camp

"I attended the camp to help get ready for my sophomore high school season, and I feel like I'm more motivated and prepared than I've ever been"

Kassie Jordan, Colts Neck, N.J.

"The camp is awesome! The coaches and staff are fun and helped me improve my game so much. It is, by far, the most beneficial soccer camp I have ever attended."

Meghan, Mequon, WI

"At the Colleg Prep Academy I really improved my game and got myself in shape for my season. I really enjoyed working with the coaches and players."

Lauren, Morris Township, NJ

From Campers and Parents

"Both of my daughter’s have attended the Penn Soccer Camp. My older daughter attended the very first Penn camp in 2001, and returned 2002 and 2003. My younger daughter attended the camp at age 12 in 2002, and returned in 2003, and 2004. She and her club teammates will attend the camp this coming summer. The girls will say that this camp is no vacation. It is hard work for the serious soccer player that wants to learn and improve their soccer skills. It is also a fun environment with great coaches. I appreciate the fact that Darren is out there training the girls, himself. Other camp directors do not always participate in that way. The evening informational sessions are definitely worthwhile. In the past, my girls have enjoyed the Sports Psychology, as well as College Recruiting info sessions. The Hill School is a great setting for the camp with excellent facilities."

Judy Pape, Mount Laurel, NJ

"It was, in my daughters mind, the best soccer camp she had ever been to. The facilities, food (important for athletes burning lots of calories), program were all excellent. She particularly liked the college track panels and discussions. Also, the staff was obviously all-star. She said many times at this camp, the big names are used to draw, but the coaches and trainers can be a disappointment. She was said that every coach there was great and very interested in helping her be a better player."

Joe, McLean, VA

"I thought this was an amazing camp and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and teammates. It was far better than the average soccer camp."

Claire, Arlington, VA

"This is a quality camp that focuses on positional skills, understanding the game and fitness. It also includes variety of college coaches an dplayers which provides a great atmosphere."

Marisa, Bernardsville, NJ
