Patterson Park Recycles
Regardless of the score of your game, you can be a winner every day at Patterson Park when you recycle! Bins for collection of plastic bottles and aluminum cans have been placed near each dugout and on each of the T-Ball/Coach Pitch fields. These bins are blue and have a circular cut-out on the lid. Please place ONLY empty cans and plastic bottles into these bins.
In the first 2 weeks of this effort - even with all the rain-outs - we have already collected over 400 recyclable items... that's nearly 27 pounds of cans and plastic bottles that are set to be recycled and are not in a landfill. But we need your help to maintain this recycling effort and to formally expand it to the Upstairs fields.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
- RECYCLE: If a trash bin has a circular cutout on the lid, please ONLY place empty recyclable cans and plastic bottles into these bins. Please discuss this with your PPYB baseball player(s) and other kids you take to the park.
- VOLUNTEER: We are in need of additional volunteers to collect recyclables. Please contact Jim & Joey Caley at PPYBrecycling@yahoo.com if your PPYB player is interested in learning more about being part of our park's recycling effort.
This effort has been initiated as part of a community service project being conducted by Joey Caley of majors-Conway Mackenzie team, the Asian Arts Center, and Patterson Park Youth Baseball.
Thanks for your support of Patterson Park recycling!!!
