A Brief History of the Club
The Patriot Soccer Club was founded in 1974 and recently reorganized into its present form as a non-profit corporation. The club has enjoyed great success throughout the years. The club boasts nearly a thousand players registered under the supervision of sixty coaches. North Babylon hosts the second-longest running indoor soccer tournament on Long Island. We are proud of our volunteers, our coaches, and most of all our players, many of whom have gone on to receive academic scholarships from our club and to play for top-ranked college programs. Over the years our volunteers have been active in the Long Island Junior Soccer League, such as Marlene Banninger, our past treasurer, who was elected to Long Island Junior's Hall of Fame along with past presidents Gary Galletta and Garret Simulcik.
