Q. How do I register my child?

A. Our on-line registration usually begins during the spring in May for the following fall season. The one time registration fee covers the full year for the fall and spring season. There are late fees if not registered within the registration period. A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required for new registrations only. Specific dates of registration can be obtained through this web site.

Q. I would like to register my child for the spring and the fall season is already over, how do I register?

A. Follow the on-line registration link on the home page of our website or in the registration section in the left colum on the home page. Please allow 3 weeks between sessions to be contacted by someone in the club or within a week the week before or during any session . If you have not heard from a Patriot Soccer representative please contact our registrar (Serge Jean-Charles) at sjc@amalfiingredients.com or call (631) 219-1747 and leave a detailed message with your questions. Please do not just leave a name and number, the more information about your inquiry the better. (e.g.- your name, phone number, age & name of child, boy or girl, information of your inquiry?) 

Q. At what age level is my child eligible to register for the Intramural program?

A. The Patriot Soccer Club starts it's Intramural Program at the U4 age level. U4 refers to Under Four years old, where the child must be four years old on or before July 31 of that fall registration year or if registering for the spring season your child must be 4 years old on or before July 31st of the prior year.

Q. Are uniforms included in the registration fee?

A. Please print out the information sheet (it is available just below this FAQ, as part of the registration forms handout). For the Grasshoppers boys/girls U4/U5, the Patriot Soccer Club will supply a game shirt; you will need to purchase blue shorts, red soccer socks, shin-guards and a size 3 soccer ball (although soccer cleats are not mandatory it is highly recommended). All other age groups will need to purchase a Patriot Soccer uniform. Information can be found on the information sheet for the appropriate age group. Murphy's Sports Shack, in the Town of Babylon (Deer Park Avenue) carries the Patriot Soccer uniforms, all other equipment and supplies.

A. The fall season will generally start the first weekend after labor day weekend and end in early November. We will then begin again for the spring season generally in late March or early April and will end the year in early June.

Q. When and where are games played?

A. The majority of our grasshopper and pee wee games are played on Saturday's (1st game start at 9 a.m.) with 2 or 3 Sunday morning games (1st game start at 10:00 a.m.). Inter-league games will be held on Sunday's. We play our in-house games depending on age at Belmont/Parliament Elementary Schools and Peter J. Brennan, Inter-league will play at other local town fields as well for away games. Generally we will play a 10 game schedule with one or two weekends with both a Saturday and Sunday game for in-house.

Q. Where and how long are practices?

A. The location of practice is up to the coach; but most coaches will practice at one of our school fields. Most coaches will practice one day during the week for 1 to 1 ½ hours in late afternoon from 4 to 7.

Q. Can I request a coach or a certain team for my child?

A. Patriot Soccer will not commit to make any promises on the placement of your child. The children are assigned at the Grasshopper ages by their closest elementary school when applicable. From U6 and up they are placed according to their prior coaches assessments of skills in order to divide the teams as evenly possible. If your child has never played before they will be placed on the next team in need of a player within their appropriate age group.
