SPRING TRAINING CAMP - MAY 25-27th, 2012
The Parkwest Outlaws are excited to announce that former Bison great and current Hamilton Tigercat Eddie Steele is confirmed as a guest coach at their May 25, 26 and 27 camp in Shoal Lake. " I'm excited about seeing Eddie work with our young defensive line including Michael Matiation, James Hunkin, Travis Dreilich and Aaron Tanner. We'll also give Travis Ivey a look at that position. It will also be great for Outlaw coach Aaron Short to learn from Eddie" says Coach Bruce Waddell. Eddie joins confirmed coaches John Makie ( 2007 Vanier Cup offensive MVP) Winnipeg Rifle center Kyle Blahy and University of New Mexico long snapper Evan Jacobsen who is rated on chrisrubiolongsnapping.com as the finest long snapper in American college football. The camp is open to any athlete from the Parkwest School Division entering at least grade 8 this fall. This is a great opportunity for young athletes with zero football experience to learn from these great coaches. Cost of the camp is only $30 due to generous support from Inetlink. Football Manitoba is running a development camp for grade 8 and 9 students in Brandon the evening of March 22 and then in Minnedosa on April 28 . Again no experience with football necessary. Contact Bruce Waddell to register with Football Manitoba and to sign out equipment. Shoal Lake School will be the first school in Canada to offer Football as a course beginning this Fall. The course is designed for grade 9 and 10 students for the fall semester. Watch for further announcements about this exciting development. See you soon! Bruce
