This Sunday's game 10/18 at Calumet City will be the last game for the Cheerleader's.  After each game all uniforms MUST be turned in.  All girls should bring a change of clothes for after the game as their will be no exceptions. 

If work hours are completed, your work deposit check will be returned.  If you have a son that will still be playing football, the check will be returned after all football equipment has been turned in.

Banquet tickets will be distributed to the Cheerleaders on Sunday also.  Additional tickets will be available for purchase.  A parent must accompany their daughter to the banquet.  Tickets can be purchased for Adults @ $20 and for Children @ $12.

Would you like to be a part of the Palos Stars Football & Cheerleading Family?  If so, please print off the 2009 Registration Form found on the website and either mail form and proper deposit amount to the address listed below or bring to the football field during our July Training Camp on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6 - 8pm starting 7/6/09 through 7/23/09.  Registration forms are also available at the field.  Our field is located directly across from the Palos Heights Metra train station on Southwest Highway.

The only payment required at this time with the registration form is a $50 non-refundable fee per child.  The balance of the fees will be paid on the first day of practice for cheerleaders. 

GENERAL INFORMATION
Cheerleaders must be between the ages of 6 and 14, however the participant can not be in high school.  Cheerleaders will learn a variety of different cheers and skills.  This year, the plan is to have The Palos Stars Cheerleaders participate in cheerleading competitions once again.  

In order to prepare for competitions, we are strongly recommending that all girls take a tumbling course during the winter/spring months.  Tumbling for Cheerleading Academy (TCA) located in Orland Park is starting a new class on Monday, February 16th.  The Stars could have their own class if enough Palos Stars register.  Please click on the handout Cheerleading listed at the bottom of this page to find the 2009 Tumbling Flyer more information.

At this time Participation fees are $185 per child.  Each Stars family must sell $125 in raffle tickets. This is a mandatory fundraiser.  We ask each family to purchase the raffle tickets on the first day of cheerleading practice.  The family then has until near the end of August 2009 to turn the tickets in.  All money received from selling raffle tickets is kept by each family.

Practice is Monday thru Friday from 6 - 8pm starting 8/3/09 until the end of August 2009.  Then starting in September practice will be Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 6 - 8pm.

Football games are usually played on Saturday, but there can be some Sunday games based on the teams we might be playing.
